Who would YOU sign for? WWE / TNA / ROH / Other?

Ok, this is completely hypothetical (or not depending on if you are an aspiring wrestler). You have just finished your 'schooling' and have a couple of indy matches under your belt to get a touch of experience. Now, who do you want to wrestle for? Think about your personal physique (height and weight) and what you could attain when deciding.

WWE - the promised land of the professional wrestler. It is the biggest wrestling company in the world and the exposure you will get could make you a house hold name...if you make it through the developmental territory that is. Not many small guys make it but there are those who are exceptions. If you are 6'5'' and 270lbs you would be guaranteed a developmental contract, hell even Rob Terry got one (before being released soon after cause he is as technically sound as a flagpole with muscles). Could YOU make it in WWE?

TNA - the rising competition. The second biggest company that could potentially threaten WWE in the future. The company has smaller wrestlers in general and plenty of experienced heads to get you further. You could spearhead the true rise of a proper rival for WWE. However, by the sounds of it the locker room isn't in complete harmony and management is a bit lame.

ROH - the 'wrestler's' company. If you like 'wrestling', ROH is a haven of technically sound individuals who vary in size. The money may not be great, but you'll probably love going to work...as longas you can afford to get there that is.

Other - Maybe you are a Brit who would dream of being part of FWA or RQW for example. New Japan? How about Mexico? Purto Rico?

So, think about what kind of wrestler you would be (who influenced you), your size and attributes etc and think where you would best fit in.

If I had just gone through all that, I would probably sign with TNA. I have a similar build to Samoa Joe so I think I would do well over there. Seeing as they love to push him, I imagine I could go a similar path. Hopefully by signing I'd get some kind of video to hype me up as the next big thing to join TNA or whatever and on my first night, I'd come out and interrupt one of the bigger stars of the company, and cut a decent promo and try to make an impact.

I would probably want to come in as a heel wrestler but eventually become a tweener, siding without whoever benefits me at the time.

that's a tough one,in TNA your likely to get lost in the shuffle.but the same could be said for WWE as well.but i think i'd have to go with WWE.i'd start out on ECW and work my way up to Raw or Smackdown.

I'd probably go with TNA because I dunno I have a big athletic body but I am pretty skinny so I guess I wouldn't be monterous enough for WWE, plus I wouldn't be looking for a singles run to start off with I would rather Tag Team so I could easily blend in witha great Tag team company...

I'd sign with anyone that wanted me. If someone wants to hire me for my skills or whatever, I'd certainly be happy with it. Each has benefits and problems, but I'd be doing what I loved doing and as a rookie, you certainly have no right to complain about where you're working at. If WWE wants to hire me, sweet. If ROH wants to hire me, I'd certainly work for them too. I'd work in any place that thought I had what they were looking for.

Whoever would offer me the most money is who I would go to, just like any other job. And considering that would undoubtedly be WWE if I were talented enough, then I choose them. I'm sure working there can be frustrating artistically wise, and I'm sure the schedule is super tough, but it's all worth it if they're paying you money you never thought of having. That, plus the benefits and insurance... it's really a simple choice.

Just like when considering to accept any kind of job, you have to do what's best for you and your family, not your pride.

Yeah whoever would give me the most money. I love wrestlign but loving doesnt pay bills. If i were talented enough im sure WWE would be the ones to offer me the most money. And if im being hounest, i would probibly love to go to them anyway. HBK said on his dvd, theres only one place to go to be a sucsess in this indutry, and that is the WWE.

I'm a big dude. 6'6" and about 370 lbs. I'd fit into WWE well, but i'm not sure I could handle the travel schedule and not being able to see my family. But i'd give it a shot, just because it's the big leagues, and if not i'd try TNA. I can see that more than WWE anyways.

I'd probably sign with ROH. It could be a great stepping stone to get to either TNA or WWE by proving that I'm a good wrestler. That way, I'd be wrestling for the fans and not the fame. Then if the WWE wished to hire after that, I'd gladly go knowing that I've proven myself already.

Considering I've been on and off training.. I like this subject.. It's been a while since I've been able to get in the ring but, anyone that has stepped in there thinks about this occasionally.. So if I had a chance to pick my training up again, FULL time..

I would want to go back to the school I started at, get pretty well conditioned and work some smaller shows for a bit.. Than eventually train in some sort of grappling, most likely BJJ, though I have looked into Shuai Jiao (Chinese Grappling), as I think it could be grounds for some very aggressive and original offense in the ring.. After I accomplished that, I think I would want to try out Harley Race's newly reopened school, and see what kind of shows I could work in the Mid-West territory/area before finally building enough contacts to do some tours in Japan, and train at one of the many incredible dojos they have their in between tours. I feel like that would make me a very well rounded worker, and would take many, many years to complete, or even begin to dent... I have never been to Japan, so I can't say how I'd like working there, but I would love to work for NOAH for a while, and than one of the smaller (TNA or ROH) American promotions eventually, naturally all the while working towards a developmental spot with WWE. I love the ring so much though, I would be completely content wrestling for almost any number of fans per night, though.

There's my essay. hahaha.
