Believes in The Shield!
November 15th, as it seems, is the first dual blockbuster game release date with Xbox's meal ticket and shooter juggernaut Halo Combat Evolved being re-released for its Anniversary and the latest installment of the multi-platform game featuring that awesome purple gang, Saints Row the 3rd. Both games are highly anticipated by many gamers and even have a lot to offer on the entertainment scale of gameplay.
Many will say that because they are two different genres that the sales for the two games won't cancel each other out, but as a former GameStop Employee, I can honestly tell you that other genre games DO play a factor in which game has a better release. In fact, I'm pretty sure Skyrim took away from a lot of COD MW3 and BF3 gamers just from its hyped anticipation alone.
So with these two blockbusters going head to head, who do you think will have the greater launch success and why?
Personally, I believe that Saints Row having a better range of targetted gamers (being for 360 and PS3) is going to help them way more than they would believe, and add in the fact that gamers are getting something new instead of a rehashed game like they are in Halo Anniversary. I've even said to a lot of my friends that Halo's decision to release an Anniversary game instead of a new game when they have not only Saints Row but four other blockbuster titles (BF 3, MW 3, Skyrim, and WWE '12 [it's a blockbuster]) is a big mistake.
