Who is your favorite heel and face?

Who is your favorite heel and face since the beginning of the Attitude Era and why?
Heel-The Rock(Corporation)-this was the best heel character in the attitude erawe saw a diiferent side of the rock and he was still able to feud with SCSA.
Face-The Undertaker-the best face of all tine and he still ia a remarkable face.

Heel-Triple H. the mcmahon helmsley faction was just great at getting the crowd in a hateful frenzy.
Face-Austin. the foul mouthed redneck rising up against an oppresive boss

Favorite face would have to be Austin. He was just an unbelievable anti-hero and just the fact that he was a face was pretty remarkable.

I almost want to cite Vince McMahon as my favorite heel, but I won't - though he was great. The best heel of the Attitude era was Triple H. Without question. He had great feuds with Rock, Mick and Austin and the McMahon-Helmsley era was one of the great storylines in WWE history. Say what you want about Hunter, but in his prime he was the best heel on the roster and not for nothing, I think he could be that all over again right now.

I'm assuming this is Face and Heel on Raw and Raw alone. That first post really needs to be more specific.

Face: Cena. Because he's awesome. He's made me care about matches against The Great Khali, Orton, everyone. He could start feuding with Legacy right now and suddenly lend an air of legitimacy to their stable Triple H, Batista, and the McMahons couldn't hope to lend. Maybe it's the fact that Cena wouldn't outright squash them. Probably.

Heel: Not Orton. My god not Orton. McMahon was an awesome heel, from what I've seen. I'd go with Raw era Edge. Why not? He was great, and he got me caring about that DX/Rated RKO feud. It's too bad he never passed some of that heel psychology to Orton while he could. I might actually care about Orton's promos right now.

heel it has to be between Edge and Y2J but Y2j edges him out. both these guys carry the faces in there feuds. Y2J has made Rey look like a main event guy again. there is a reason why he was superstar of the year last year in 2008. he may very well do it again this year. With feuds already strong with Rey and Steamboat. with a Taker feud looming
it can only get better from here. as well as Punk Edge Morrison Hardy and other top stars already on his show.

Face is Austin hands down the Anti hero who had to work hard to get the fans to love him it did not come overnight. His feuds with The Rock and Vince will forever be cemented in history as top 10 greatest ever. they could make there own DVD on these feuds updated and much more content with promos and matches.

Since the Attitude era, I always always always thought heel Shawn Michaels was the greatest. He was SUCH a dick... i loved it. For face, I'd say Austin because thats obvious.

Best heel and face in the game today... well Orton (heel) even though I think the crowd is mixed for him (he's cheered...a lot). Santino for face because he's... well there's not many great faces in the first place, and he's pretty funny.

Favorite face:I would have to with The Rock, possibly one of the greatest ever to step in the ring. The guy was without a doubt the best ever on a mic. Had some of the greatest lines ever. Insulting everyone and their grandmother. With some of the greatest one liners. That and he had some of the great matches.

Favorite heel: This is a tough one for me, because their have been some great heel's in that time. Stone Cold, The Rock, Triple H, Undertaker, Edge, Jericho, McMahon, Shawn Michaels. Out of all of these, I have to go with Y2J. The man is great in getting heat from the crowd. On top of that he has done it different ways. You have the classic loud mouth why Y2J. Who would bash everyone. The you have the modern Y2J. Where he is more subdued, but still is amazing.

i wasnt watching wrestling back then. but i have been reading up and watching classic matches, promos etc.
so i definately know about the era.
my favorite heel was none other then y2j chris jericho.
jericho was ahead of his time he was so charasmic and a really big part of making a name for the era.

face: now for the face i would have to choose Stone Cold Steve Austin.
have you seen him????

i have one that hasnt been put out yet i think he was in the attitude era if not just bear with me eddie guerreo he was great he got a lot of cheers from the crowd and could make people laugh.

not sure about a heel :suckit:

Heel-Triple H In his evolution days when he was in his I'm that damn good persona it was awesome.

Face-I loved Eddie Guerrero his lie cheat steal gimmick was awesome and the crowd loved when he'd plant a steel chair on his opponent.

On a side note I'd like to call out Razorback on something eveybody on this site knows you heavily dislike Orton but you seem to bring him up in every thread possible and thats why you lose credibility because you go from a logical critic to a blind hater this thread didn't need his name if he's not your favorite heel then he's not but please take this advice because you look like a pure hater to me.

FACE: The Rock, Stone Cold - no body gets cheers like that

HEEL Muhammad Hassan - everyone hated this guy.. he couldnt even get a word in cause of the crowd booing so loud or chanting USA

Faces: well, this one's tricky. I think that Austin and Rock were tops when it came to this. I mean the crowds went nuts the instant either of their music hit the speakers. And the camera flash bulbs were crazy sick. I'll throw in Cena because the kids like him. 'Taker was sweet as a heel, but I like him as a face too. I've said it before many, many times that Santino is awesome, and 'm so glad he turned face. His comedy is the best in years. Good stuff.

Heels: Kurt Angle. Hands down, Kurt Angle. His rookie year when he won all those titles, he was THE perfect guy to hate. More recently, no one's been a better heel than Y2J. He's the type of heel Orton wishes he could be. Orton seriously sucks. He's nothing special in the ring and is all just image. He drones on and on and my God am I tired of the punts. Bleh. I miss the cocky, smug Orton who had a personality, not ahem "the viper". Play time is over kids, Jericho's the man when it comes to evil.

Face- Goldberg...without a doubt it's Goldberg. The man could flat out go. In WCW he was the biggest thing that ever happened. Not since Hogan had a fan based rallied around someone like they did for him. He went for three years without a loss, then only lost five other times afterward. He had the hardest spear in wrestling history and possibly the best one two finisher with the spear then jackhammer, which is often used but never duplicated. He was "the man"

Heel- Jericho can be one, but i'm gonna have to say a guy who helped my face superstar make history...Big Show. Show is the only superstar today to win every major title in the WWE and WCW ( angle has in every company but WCW). No one gives him enough credit anymore...here is a guy who won his first WWE title by beating six men in the process (Viscera, Albert, Rock, HHH, Mideon, and Boss Man). He has beaten the likes of Rock, Hogan, Austin, HHH, Flair, and many other big names along his long and hall of fame career. If any new talent wants gold, there is 7'0" 500lbs of giant in the way

This is a reallly broad topic considering that 99% of the wrestlers on the roster since the attitude era have been both a heel and a face.

Heels- Bret Hart and Hart Foundation before montreal screwjob-when they started the anti american thing, they were so over as heels, got amazing heel heat. Kane has always been much better as a heel, especially when he first came in as the Monster he was. Owen Hart during his I'm not a nugget days was a great heel. Taker during his Ministry of Darkness days was an amazing heel. Alot of people forget how good of a heel Farooq was during the Nation of Domination days. Of course Vince/Shane and Steph during McMahon Helmsley faction and Billion Dollar Princess. Kurt Angle was always an amazing heel. I feel HHH was always better as a heel by himself. Right to Censor got great heel heat as a faction. Brock Lesnar, CLB Christian, Jericho during all his different heel turns, JBL's character was always great also(he really did remind me of a JR Ewing type), Muhammad Hassan, Evolution as a group. Edge has also always been better as a heel as has Orton. The Dudley's I thought were always a better heel team when they were putting everyone through tables. Angle/Edge/Christian together. King Booker. MVP much better as heel. Then you gotta look at how great of heat of GM's got: Bischoff, Vicki, Heyman, Steph.

Faces- Austin was the ultimate Face and probably the greatest face ever. The Rock was great, Foley was amazing. Taker, HBK, DX, Goldberg, Hogan after he left the NWO was getting awesome crowd reactions, You might laugh at me for this, but The Oddities got huge pops as did Too Cool(Rikishi, Grandmaster Sexay, Scotty 2 Hotty), The Hardy's as a team, Jeff Hardy solo, Flair, Piper, RVD, Benoit, Y2J when he was making fun of Stephanie, EUGENE, APA, Eddie lying cheatin and stealin, Rey, Batista is a much better face then trying to be a monster heel, Santino, Hornswoggle, Evan Bourne, HHH although he's a much better heel, and of course Cena..

WWE was around for a long time, but it was definitely Rock vs McMahon/Helmsley that got my attention and made me feel a sense of ultimate good vs evil. Rock was the people's champion, but always getting screwed. Assaulted, double-teamed, and I never seemed to get it that the show was staged for shock value - I really thought the sledgehammer hit at full force and I was mad! And Jericho, trashing on Benoit forvever - but when they finally teamed up it was awesome! Hunter/Austin have a legacy of attitude and power, but when Chris & Chris beat 'em, it was the best day ever.

Heel-Hollywood and Corporate Rock, Shawn Michaels, and The Undertaker The Rock was golden with both roles. His skits with Hurricane was hilarious. Shawn obviously during his old DX days could get the whole crowd to boo him just by his theme music hitting alone. The Undertaker was just bad ass during his Ministry days The "polio" line was sick.

Face-The Rock, DDP, Eddie Guerrero, and Shawn Michaels
Let's face it whether he was face or heel you loved the Rock. DDP was a suprised to me too, but I could't help but put up a self-five whenever his theme music hit. Who didn't love Eddie in his lie, cheat, steal days back in 1999 in WCW and in WWE during 2002-2005. Shawn could excite a crowd wherever he goes (except for in Canada but it's improving).
