Who else could Flair put over...in the ring?

Vincent Michaels

My weapon of choice? A green onion.
This Sunday Ric Flair will step into the ring for the first time in 6 months to wrestle Jay Lethal.

This fued(at least as far as wrestling goes) should end on Sunday with atleast in my opinion, Lethal going over clean.

At this point in his life, Flair might not have whot it takes to wrestle anymore, but the real question is,

If he continues to wrestle, even on a very limited basis, who else could and should he put over in a fued as far as in the ring goes?

Discuss please

I think he can put over Samoa Joe. Joe isn't really doing anything important right now and a win over Ric Flair might give him a little bit of momentum when ever he or creative decides to make him contend for the world title again.

Well, the last time he stepped in a ring was the most recent impact taping which was not long ago at all. The last time he wrestled was less that three months ago. So that being cleared up, Ric has been building up quite a few people since he came in. I think I would prefer him to spend some more time involved in stories with Lethal, Kaz and AJ before moving on. If I had to name some that I think might be interesting for him to work either with or against, Hernandez because he would be sick with a promoter type to do the talking, EY because if anyone can make us care about him again it is Flair, Pope or Anderson because mic work suits Flair's feuds and either one could provide a bridge to flair-angle which I think I want to see for some reason.

Actually, he wrestled about three months ago against Abyss in a losing effort over the Hall of Fame ring that Hogan presented him, but that's neither here nor there...

Flair should (and will) continue to elevate the younger talent in TNA's locker room. That means Lethal, Kazarian, AJ, Wolfe, etc. will all have gained tremendous and measurable growth as a result of working with Flair.

The only other youth who could really benefit from a program with Ric would probably be Eric Young, who may also get the opportunity at some point.

I think this whole Kaz vs AJ thing will culminate in a Flair vs Styles match. TNA seems to love these Mentor vs Student matches. After a Kaz vs AJ feud, its likely we could see the match I mentioned. Its almost too predictable.

i dont think flair could handle being in the ring with joe, but i guess we'll see this sunday what he can and cannot do. maybe he can get kaz some tag team gold like he did batista. i would like to see him and sting one more time.

He should put over the younger talent...By this i'm sayin Kaz next, and then Styles im guessing he will eventually fight later the year...

Kaz could go far with this, I remember a few eyars ago, he was invlovved in the main event scene and then slowly dropped out to be Suicide(who is now boring),

I think he could also bring Matt Morgan to the main event scene as well..It would be really good for him!!

i would love to see AJ turning face and ending up in the ring with Flair.
It would be a great end to the fued, put over AJ as THE future or pro wrestling and also give him the honor of having a match with a ledgened.

Also Flair could take a match with AJ as AJ doesnt wrestle to rough and without alot of impact, he just makes it look awsome!
And flair more or less styles clashes himself wen he does the walking around the ring then falls flat on his face bit anyway.

When it comes to Flair wrestling, I can honestly say that I've no interest in seeing it. There are plenty of other ways for Flair to put over younger talent than wrestling. Just by being associated with Ric Flair is pretty much all that a young wrestler in TNA needs. Flair's promo feud with Lethal is something I could have really gotten into if I knew that it wasn't going to result in the two having a match. Flair on the mic is great, but having him play something of a more "cowardly" heel manager/mentor instead of being the macho grandfather is something that appeals to me far more.

I simply have no interest in watching a 61 year old man wrestle. I make no apologies for it and I don't care that the 61 year old man happens to be Ric Flair. Watching Flair behave and portray himself as he was 20 years ago just doesn't have the desired effect on me because he's not what he was 20 years go no matter how much he might want to be. I have no doubt whatsoever that Ric Flair can still be an invaluable contribution to professional wrestling in any number of ways, but watching him wrestle 24 year olds just do not excite me in the least.

I'm not a fan of the SCWF (Senior Citizen Wrestling Federation). I would not like to see Flair wrestle. However, Flair could do this job without lacing up his boots. He's so damn great as a manager and mouthpiece wrestling just isn't necessary at this stage of his life.
I'd rather see Flair be the leader of a faction. I'd like to see Flair but together a group not unlike Evolution. Styles, Lethal, Morgan, Young. With Flair leading the way this would be SOOOOOO much better than him wrestling. Just say no Ric. Please

I think they should do an angle where he puts over the entire knockout roster. He's already disgraced himself enough, why not??

How in the hell has Ric flair disgraced himself! This has been the most entertaining flair has been in years so how has disgraced himself, He's obviously having fun and you can see that in his performances. He's been great in TNA much better than he was in the WWE, much better. He still has it, especially on the mic,Flair has been a joy to watch and I suggest you should try to appreciate him while his still performing at this high of a level!

See, this is exactly WHY I don't watch TNA all like that and WHY I will never buy a TNA PPV. You can have pretty good matches but you'll have a stinker like Flair against anybody else (insert anybody else). Flair makes me so sick. And to answer your question, I don't think anyone in their right minds should ever wrestle THIS Ric Flair. Flair needs to stop it. Just stop it. I know Jay with probably go over on Flair but after that it needs to for real be over. Goodness.

AJM - - think they should have an angle where he puts over the entire knockout roster... After he DOES the entire nockout roster- all... Night... Long.
Jackhammer, I agree with you that 61 year old men should not be wrestling. He IS a shell of his former self. That said, he's more interesting to me than a LOT of WWE's undercard. But only once in a great, great while. He *should* wrestle Sting again - just to close the circle of life for both of them. I'm thinking a double retirement match.
Also, it would be a shame not to have Flair and Angle put on a PPV match of some sort. Angle could still make him look good. If it generated attention it could main event, but from a positioning standpoint, who couldn't get a rub from main eventing when Ric and Kurt were part of the undercard?

But, he should be a manager at this point. For a heel stable full of giant beasts that can't talk. Say fortune ends up being Joe, Hernandez, Abyss, and Kaz. With Flair doing the talking?
Awesome!
