Which promotion will you remember Chris Jericho from?

Pre-Show Stalwart
As we know Chris Irvine aka Chris Jericho was train by the famous Hart family in the infamous "dungeon". Jericho wrestled the indy scene for a few years as "The Lionheart" Chris Jericho in both Mexico and Japan. When in Japan Jericho team and fueded against fellow canadian wrestler and friend Lance Storm. And where he first met wrestlers by the names of Dean Maleako, Eddie Guerrero (R.I.P.), and Chris Benoit (R.I.P.)???

It was where that Chris Jerciho came back to north america wrestling in ECW. Where he wrestled some of his buddys from japan, and where he won the ECW TV championship against pitbull number two.

After a run in ECW, Jerciho signed with WCW based in Atlanta, GA. Chris Jericho the star we all know was born in WCW as a crusierweight to begin with, with a fued against Alex Wright for the CW title. As well as fuededs against Ultimo Dragon, Rey Mysterio (Jr.), and Dean Maleako once again.

Their after Jerciho's contract expiered with WCW, "Y2J" Chris jerciho was born in the WWF/E in the summer of '99...and the rest is history! With Chris Jerciho as the very first undisputed world heavyweight champion, and a first ever nine-time IC champion.

So my question is, what promotion will you remember Chris Jerciho from if he does indeed retired?

WWE. I remember a total of one WCW promo from Jericho. He won the TV Title and Cruiserweight titles there and other than that he had nothing. In WWE he's won more titles than anyone I believe. He's a 6 time world champion and a 9 time IC Champion. He was in the main event of Wrestlemania. What more can you ask of a guy? This is one sided and not even close. Jericho will be remembered for his time in WWE.

What a question!!

WWE...why...do i need to explain..what Jericho has done in the last decade is just amazing, it's kinda not fair because he wasn't in WCW as long as he has been in WWE, but he will be most remembered in the WWE, not for being the first undisputed champion, or a nine-time IC champion, but for his in-ring abilities, putting on great matches and his promos from 2000-2010...I loved them back in the InVasion angle...

THANK you for making this thread. I had to watch one of the most epic promos ever to respond to this thread properly

He always had the best segments and was ahead of his time.

He unmasked Juvi and I never thought I'd ever see a luchadore unmask

The Lion Tamer aka the better version of the walls of Jericho
Classic feuds with Mysterio, Malenko, Benoit,
JoJo Dillian (lol)

Probably one of his top 3 on screen moments.. his Goldberg entrance, the crappy pyro and him claiming he was 4-0 against him but they hadn't wrestled yet, the same thing they rehashed for Cena vs Miz.

Jericho in WCW was so fucking awesome, this man had a great career. His WWE stuff is good too but WCW was Vintage(™) Jericho

WWE all the way! The guy has done it all in the biggest company on the planet

From his epic debut, to being the most decorated IC champ of all time, to headining Wrestlemania, to being the 1st ever undisputed champion...Jericho is a WWE man to me and always will be

I will remember Chris Jericho from WWE, it's not because he wasn't great or doing great things in the world spread promotions, in ECW or WCW for that sake, but it is mainly due to the fact that I did not watch any of those promotions, I was not a fan back then, I'm a fan now, and I'm getting to enjoy Chris Jericho at the top of his game in WWE.

Chris has accomplished a lot around the world, but ultimately he has accomplished most, done the most, and formed his legacy, brand marked it and hung it up as a trophy on his shelf in WWE, it was with WWE that he became known for the huge talent he is.

Sure he was known as a great talent in WCW as well, during the 90's, but during the 90's I do not believe anybody said "Chris Jericho is the greatest all-around wrestler" or "Chris Jericho is the best thing to happen to wrestling" or ultimately "Chris Jericho is the best wrestler of this decade" which is all things I have heard about Chris Jericho in the 00's, with WWE.

Chris is one of my favorites, and as well, that is due to his run with WWE.

The WCW, far and away.

The very Chris Jericho we grew to love was born there, and though he was held back tremendously staying there, his best feuds and his best promos/segements came from there.

I mean people, come on, "Raw is Jericho" was a rehash of "Welcome to Monday Night Jericho" from WCW!

Jericho was absolutely fantastic in the WCW, and if not for the precedents he set there, there would be no discussion of what he should be most remembered for in the first place.

Jerichoholics were born there, and they should be buried there, too.

AMAZING!

Hmmm, this brings up an interesting question. Jericho obviously had a more prominent run, won more titles, and had a overall better run in the WWE.
But, as IDR pointed out, the Jericho we know today was born in WCW, and if it weren't for that company, we might have never seen "The Man Of 1004 Holds" or Y2J, or whatever you wanna call him.

But overall, I'm sure a lot of people (me included) heard of him first in the WWF. He certainly had a better run in the E/F and in the long run, he is considered a cornerstone of the WWF/E this decade, he was never anything more that a midcard champ in WCW and I doubt anyone would argue that his WCW run has been better than his WWF run. So I will remember Y2J from the company I grew up on, and the company that he had the best run, WWE.

Chris Jericho was good in both companies but what a no brainer wwe of course. He is one of the best in WWE history and in wcw he was not in the main event.Half of wrestling fans dont even know he was in wcw so that says it all

i would have to say wwe, just for the fact of y2j, to date is still one of the best gimmicks, and he has had the best entrances with wwe, and of course he beat the rock and stone cold in one night in wwe, lol.

but i do have to give him props in wcw, he was one of the major players on putting the cruiserweight division on the map

Half of what wrestling fans? The ones who weren't old enough to have been privileged to watch his fantastic work there, maybe – which basically excludes anyone born in the 90's, yeah?

Sorry, man – while I agree that the work he's put in in the WWE is astounding when you consider the titles won and the level of the competitors he's been on the same stage with, there would be no discussion if not for the Jericho of WCW. It's where "Chris Jericho" was born. Without that WCW run, Y2J would never have excited. Y2J, the sycophant hater, and all his WWE incarnations would be non-existant.

I'd rather choose which era of Jericho I prefer, which would be 96-2005. Seeing as Jericho during his WCW days and his early WWE days were both great. He's still good today but he's been watered down each year to the point where he's not as enjoyable as he used to be. But if I have to pick, then it's WCW. He coined the term Jerichoholics, everything that made up his character in the WWF was made in WCW. So I'll remember Jericho for WCW.
