Recently Lesnar has proven professional wrestlers could still be tough even though wrestling is worked. So I ask...which other current or past wrestlers would hold their own in MMA? I think the likes of the following people would do/would have done significantly good in MMA:

Taz- The man's got a Judo history and is 3rd dan black belt.
Kurt Angle- Quite arguably wrestling's toughest shooter according to some people.
Goldberg- Lifting someone like the Giant makes any man tough enough to shoot fight.
Rob Van Dam- He has a history of kickboxing and other martial arts. His kicks are always stiff and he's got plenty of flexibility
Senshi- I'm not sure why, but every time I see one of this man's stiff kicks I cringe. I think he also has some martial art background
Chris Benoit- His intensity could not be matched and he would never give up.

Edit by AJ: Before asking the rest of us who we like or would do well you should give you reasons why you picked the ones you did.

*Edit* Sorry about that

Dean Malenko-Dean is a shooter and so was his dad. He knows so many different moves. I bet he would be very dangerous.

Little Gudio-pretty much same thing as Dean. A true shooter.

Tajiri-Those kicks are so stiff. He must have some kind of history in martial arts.

Big Dick Dudley-I have read that this guy was a legit tough guy. He was 6'6, 300 pounds. He was an convicted felon. I remember reading an interview with the Dudley Boys and they said they once saw Big Dick beat up 5 guys at once. He just looked insane, pro wrestling only true mastadon.

Steve Blackman hands down - i dont think he ever did mma but im convinced he would dominate
Brock Lesnar will be good and probably already is
Angle might have been able to cut it in his early 20s but not now
Arn Anderson is just a tough guy so I think if he trained when he was younger he would have been a force
Maybe Bret or Owen Hart

I'd defianately say Kurt Angle. He has a amatuer wrestling backround, he has won Olympic Gold, and is arguable the greatest technical wrestler in history. If he were to start a career in MMA he would be successful, as he is already experienced, and is a great technical wrestler so he would not have to adjust his moveset alot.

A close second would have to be Rob Van Dam. He has a kick boxing, and martial arts backround. That's what MMA (Mixed-Martial Arts) is all about. He is also a decnt technical wrestler. I have faith if he started a career in MMA he would be successful.

Rick Steiner. He supposedly once took down Tank Abbott (who was a professional MMA fighter)

Come to think of it I think Joe could be a good MMA fighter. He's young, fast for a guy his size, and stiff as hell. His finisher, the coquina clutch, also looks pretty legit.

Damn if Angle wouldn't have had so many injuries and he would be healthy enough to fight he'd be one of MMA's greatest fighters.
