Which brand fits RVD's future better? WWE or TNA??

Last week as we know Hulk Hogan used his influnce via radio to try to get Rob Van Dam to sign to TNA wrestling. RVD sounds interested. But is this decision Rob Van Dam about to make a good I must ask?

Rob Van Dam hasn't been in a wrestling ring since the Royal Rumble of last year, little alone a one-on-one wrestling match. When RVD was in the WWE he had a track record with the remaing ECW fans that followed into the WWE with the ECW name. And it was there where Rob Van Dam won his first world title(s) with a resume of WWE titles behind it. Rob Van Dam was on "the high" of his career until he got caught up on the road (with Sabu) by the police with a trunk full of drugs.

There in the WWE in mid-2006, RVD fell on bad times when he had to drop both the WWE & the (WW)ECW championships. That would be gutwrenching to anyone to do that reguardless of the mistake they made. But Rob Van Dam has to live with it. RVD has had classic matches in the WWE.

But TNA wrestling is a whole other ballgame. And now with Hulk Hogan as the coach, who knows what Rob Van Dam's future in TNA will look like if he decides to sign with the company? As we can see TNA is more of a WCW-like brand then an ECW brand. We seen the treatment that Dixie Carter has given the former ECW guys in the past like the Sandman, Sabu, and Rhyno. So if Rob Van Dam was to sign with Hulk Ho...I mean TNA wrestling? He would have to wait in line like ever body else to get the TNA world championship.

Sure TNA has a lighter road schedule then the WWE has. But atlease Rob Van Dam would be more apprecated in the WWE. And if RVD does indeed sign that TNA contract? That would inducate that Rob Van Dam's wrestling career is coming to an end. (They are based in florida)

There is no option in my mind, if RVD comes back to the business, it will be to TNA. The schedule fits his lifestyle, he and his style would be a perfect fit and it would give him a whole list of new opponents.

And they don't have drug testing, huge bonus for him I'm sure.

Seriously, who would like to see RVD being cut loose in TNA, against guys he hasnt fought in years/ever?

Rob Van Dam hasn't been in a wrestling ring since the Royal Rumble of last year, little alone a one-on-one wrestling match.

Well you're wrong there actually RVD has been wrestling in the indies for the last few months and has appeared at more than one PWG show. He main evented a show they had about a month ago with RVD facing off against Roderick Strong and Chris Hero.

As for where RVD ends up, I'm not sure. While I'd love to see him wrestle the guys in TNA (RVD vs Styles is a dream match) I"d also love to see him given a main event push in the WWE and given another shot at being a World champion.

What's better for RVD though? Depends on what he's looking for. If he wants to work less and get paid decently he'll go to TNA or he could go to the WWE and work alot more but probably get paid alot more.

The unemployment line bwahahahahaha

I kid, I kid, right now I think TNA is the place for RVD to go, I mean, you said about the treatment that Sandman, Sabu and Rhyno got in TNA, I dont really think that's a fair comparison to make, those guys are fucking shit compared to RVD. RVD's an ECW original that got himself over in the WWE, so much so that they put the World Title on him (beating the unstoppable John Cena I might add) and put the ECW title on him at the same time in a move that I am certain was to give the title some instant credibility with WWE fans, and please the old school ECW fans at the same time.

I think RVD would get treated extremely well in TNA, but then again, he'd get paid more in WWE.

I read an interview with RVD not too long ago on The Sun's website. From that I would assume TNA is the best place for him, although he only knows for sure. In that interview he talked about the european tour he was on at the time. He said that whilst it was very tiring, he liked the fact that when it was finished he could take some time off to relax. Basically, he enjoyed choosing when to wrestle and how often to wrestle. Of course, it's not as simple as that in TNA, but it would definately be a lighter schedule than the WWE would offer and I think that would be the biggest factor in RVD's decision. Personally, I'd love to see him competing at main event level in the WWE but I wouldn't expect to see that happen any time soon.

TNA would be the best place for RVD to go to. He'll work a lighter schedule, and probably would fit better in TNA. I find it hard to believe he would be able fit in WWE. Raw and Smackdown's roster is pretty stacked as it is, and I don't think he would fit into NXT since it supposedly is going to be for the next generation of wrestlers in the WWE. So once you factor in all of that, the best RVD would probably do in WWE is chasing the IC,US,or tag team titles. I believe RVD is still good enough to be in the world championship picture, and in TNA he would have a MUCH better shot at that.

I think it would be a better career move, at this point in his life, to wrestle in TNA. They will showcase him A LOT more, without a doubt. You know Vince is going to "punish" him for quite some time. I think he has the best chance to main event right away in TNA, where as in WWE, he might sit in the mid-card for a while, if not longer. And as far as the money goes, I don't know if WWE would pay him THAT much more than TNA. Not that TNA has WWE money, but I don't think Vince would pay RVD that much, seeing I don't think he cares if RVD goes to TNA. He cares, but not that much.

I say WWE. He could probably get a deal where he gets paid a handsome sum but doesnt work many (if any) house shows (McMahon would probably let him have that, owing to him not wanting it because he 'deserves' it but due to his providing extenuating circumstances (IIRC he's still caring for her owing to her colon cancer)). If he doesnt get that, He should go to TNA (where he'll definately have a lighter schedule than a full WWE one).

I'd like him to go to WWE because I'd love to see him in the ring with some of the WWE guys (Morrison (they'd have awesome matches together) and Punk (the promos for this feud just write themselves) to name two I'd love to see him working with), and his WWE music would be far better than whatever Dale Oliver can cobble together (which would probably sound a lot like 'One of a Kind' ('Cool Dude' sounds alot like Too Cool's theme 'You Look Fly Today', and Mr. Anderson/Kennedy's TNA theme sounds like 'Turn Up the Trouble' to me)) which is a theme I love.

I think the best place for RVD is TNA. RVD would basically be a small fish in a big pond in the WWE. He'd be in the IC, US championship picture like someone mentioned. In TNA he'd be a big fish in a small pond. He'd be the top face of the company and could have great feuds with Styles, Ken Anderson, a heel Kurt Angle, etc. Even a face vs. face match of RVD vs. Sting would be a great match to see. He could smoke as much dope as he wants, work a lighter schedule, and get paid mid-high six figures.

As alot of people have stated before TNA. Don't get me wrong I love Van Dam and I would love to see hi back in WWE (hell I just want him back) but I think if he did go to WWE he would wind up back in mid card having matches with guys like McIntyre & Morrison. While they would no doubt be good, Van Dam probably deserves a good shot with either World Title and I don't see that happening. Going to TNA would allow for an easier schedule, an option to use more of his older ECW style, and his ability to perhaps cut a decent promo without being urged to say "dude" and "whatever" 20 times. Either place he went I'd like to watch but I'd be intrigued by the matches he could have with some of the guys in TNA.
