I don't know if I'm ready to see them split up completely yet, but I do wish they would do some things by themselves too.
Personally, I would have rather have seen both R-Truth & The Miz compete in singles matches without the other accompanying them to ringside. I would have liked to have seen The Miz come down and attack CM Punk on the the mic, saying things like he's not the voice of the voiceless, he's the puppet of the voiceless, and he should learn to come up with his own material rather than browsing internet forums and taking notes.
If R-Truth was going to interfere I'd rather it have been done in the form of a run-in. These guys might have a common interest, but I don't see why they should be joined at the hip.
I think the real problem I'm starting to have with these two, who are my 2 favorites in the WWE right now, is that their individual personalities are not evident anymore. I haven't seen much of anything of R-Truth saying he's a goooooooood R-truth, or 'yall pissin me the hell off' 'don't boo me, yall should be booin yerselves.' and I've only noticed a cursory mention of lil Jimmy. His paranoid schizophrenic gimmick was hilariously great IMO and now he's become just a cookie cutter heel since getting together with The Miz full time.
Same holds true to The Miz. In The Miz's case he was just playing a cliche arrogant cocky heel, but I liked the style with which he presented himself. You barely see any of that character anymore either.
I don't want to split The Miz and R-Truth up completely, but I think they need to have some spots of their own as well as together, and I think it'd help them keep their own individual personalities stronger and help them develop better chemistry together as well.
R-Truth in particular is going to wither and die if he doesn't get back to the root character that made him such a sensation this summer. Had it not been for CM Punk's meteoric rise with his shoot heard round the world, R-Truth would have been THE star of the summer.
But what do I know, that's just my opinion. But compare
THIS to what we saw of R-Truth last night. The R-Truth from last night was just a shadow of the guy from this past July. For a few brief months R-Truth was the most entertaining heel I'd seen in the WWE in about a decade, and I want to see him back to form again.
I think Miz will turn face after Awesome Truth (awful name) breaks up sometime between The Royal Rumble and WM 28.
I agree completely. I just hope R-Truth gets a mid-card title, either US Heavyweight or the IC title, and then gets some good feuds. Either that or the World Heavyweight title. Truth deserves it and he's moving in on the twilight of his career right now at the age of 39. Give him his dues before he's too old.
