When you think of wrestling, what name comes to mind?

Thought this would be a fun topic to discuss. Basically, when you think of wrestling, be it WWE, TNA or otherwise, who's name is the first that pops into your head?

For me personally it's The Rock. After becoming such a global superstar in both wrestling and Hollywood, that's the name that stands out more than anyone.

Without a shadow of a doubt Hulk Hogan. Then again this is coming from someone who upon mention of the words "high school" imagines teenager doing jumping jacks, and ice cubes when a word that resembles ember enters their eardrums. Go figure.

Anyways it's pretty elementary for any wrestling fan. Whilst not the most well known public figure outside of professional wrestling he one of, if not the biggest star the industry has ever produced. In a way he is sort of a poster boy for the business in general, someone all wrestlers aspire to be as soon as they lace up a pair of boots. The image of a young Hogan ripping off his mysteriously soft Hulkamania T-shirt is usually the first image that pops into my head at the fist mention of professional wrestling despite my status as a sperm cell when Hulkamania was running wild on in the late 80's/early 90s

That pretty much sums it up in a nutshell, what you gonna do..brother!

John Cena.

The best thing about him is that his ring persona is his own; he needs no gimmicks, nicknames or anything else to keep him in mind. The Rock is The Brahma Bull and The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment, Shawn Michaels is The Heartbreak Kid and The Showstopper, Mark Calaway is The Undertaker, The Phenom & The Dead Man. See what I mean?

John Cena is John Cena. He doesn't need anything else to stop the show, be electrifying or give you any other reason to watch him other than what he brings to the game. That so many people choose to detest him is an indication that he's the biggest thing in wrestling and on people's minds.....back in the day, a lot of people hated The Rock, too, although it's harder to find those folks now.;)

(And yes, before someone points it out, early in his career, Cena had a "Doctor of Thug-o-nomics" label, but since he's achieved true stardom, he goes only by his given name......and it's that name that comes to me first when I think of pro wrestling).

Stone Cold Steve Austin. First started watching wrestling in the Attitude Era & grew up with it, so that's the first thing that I will think of. And Steve is my favourite wrestler of all time & the man of the Attitude Era, so he's the first name that pops to mind.

Was was a young kid in the mid to late 80's and grew up a die hard Hulkamaniac. The name Hulk Hogan has always been the first name of I think when i hear wrestling. He was the first big "star" created by Vince. By star I mean household name that crossed over into other things. Everyone, and I mean everyone knew who Hulk Hogan was. It's possible everyone still knows who he is. Very few wrestlers have attained that status. For me it's definitely Hulk Hogan.

I only started watching wrestling in 2002 and back then I was a die hard Deadman fan but since then WWE has been so John Cena heavy that has became the first thing that pops up in my mind now.

At this moment of time, it is easily John Cena. He has main evented regularly since 2006 with just one small injury break.

You can make claim for Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker for being main eventers since a long time, but they have part of WWE when the promotion was not that regular as compared to now. The Undertaker was not regular himself since the mid 00's.
