and is it just me or is this the perfect time for him to go heel and interfere in a match and cost a face the title because his face gimmick is getting boring and old (poorly portrayed by wwe)

You know what to expect at this place these days so why are you always acting annoyed when you see it. You're making the choice to be here knowing how it's become.

Anyway, if you followed Chris Benoit over his career, then you should know it doesn't really matter if hes face or heel, because hes a true definition of a wrestler. Chris Benoit isn't going to be remembered as a face or heel, but he'll be remembered for what he did in the ring. That's why you don't see him talk on the mic as much as other people, because he has nothing to prove. Even if hes a heel he doesn't need to try to get cheap heat over a mic or even do heel moves in the ring, because thats how much of a good wrestler he is. Just like Kurt Angle.
I mean its always good to see some mic work by wrestlers, and to see funny promos, but Chris Benoit doesn't have to do that. The WWE has other wrestlers for that. That's where Chris Benoit makes up for everything by his in ring performance. He's goes out and gives his all every match hes in for us the WWE fans, so for those who say hes stale, I don't see it unless your expecting him to do more than he already does.
In my eyes Chris Benoit will always be a main eventer whether he has a mid card or main event match. His in ring performances show you what he can do. Just because hes not in the main event all the time doesn't make him lose any credibility because he has mid card matches. All you can do is respect him for what he has done over the years for the fans and thats perform.
Yeah, I know its my choice to come here and I will continue too. Regardless of what it has become. I'm just hoping to see it turn out better.Dysturbed said:You know what to expect at this place these days so why are you always acting annoyed when you see it. Personally I don't see why Smackdown gets much lower ratings than Raw. I know Smackdown is taped and that adds to it. I also know it doesn't show in some places. I think it could be because of it being on Friday's, but I could be wrong. Smackdown has some decent matches. I would like to see some more Angle/Benoit matches. Every match that i've seen them in together was a pretty decent match.FPV GTHO said:Perhaps when hes ready to come back they'll put him in a feud with Angle (who might return to SD). Judging by most opinions on each of their abilities, that would help alot with smackdown ratings.
Dysturbed said:I know that a lot of people dislike it when he's not in the title hunt but not everyone can have the title or go for it all of the time. By not doing that he opens himself up to more opportunities for feuds, midcard accomplishments, etc which isn't exactly a bad thing. Additionally, he can spend years in the midcard but that doesn't take away from him being a main eventer. There's a difference between being a midcarder and being a main eventer in the midcard. Benoit is the latter.
