What's the Big Deal With Kenny King?

Getting Noticed By Management
So, since I am being vocal about stuff in wrestling right now, what is the big deal with Kenny King? I remember the big deal they made about him when he came to TNA from Ring of Honor and him losing his job over the whole mess. I seem to have liked his last run better than this last one. I understand that he's part of the big storyline on TNA, which means he's getting a push, but all he does is play a mouthy punk and then get knocked on his butt by everyone he's in the ring with. I can't even remember the last time King won a match on TNA, not to mention that last night on Impact he got the crap knocked out of him by Eric Young twice, Bobby Roode and Kurt Angle all in the same night. I thin k it happened again too in the show, but it alludes me at the moment. What am I missing here because I really don't see the big deal with him at this point. Did he like make someone mad or something?

The role King is playing right now is similar to a hype man in hip hop. He's the outrageous character that stands out from the rest of the stable with his verbiage and antics. Yes he's gotten bitched quite a bit recently, but so what? He's playing a young punk well, and he's still talented in the ring aside from the posturing and such. I'd say he'd make a great TV champ if they still used the belt.

Men, I guess you are right. Point is that they are trying to build this faction as something so big and awesome, you would think they would at least let him win a match every once in a while is what I am saying. Kenny King is a solid worker. I liked most of his first run better than what is going on right now is all I am saying. Then again, I guess I just need to see more of what they are trying to do here I guess. maybe it's too early to judge. I just don't see what's the big deal thus far is all. Maybe he can feud with Sanada for the X Division Title?

He had a bad ass match with a former Wold Champion Austin Aries at Slammiversary. He has a role now to put him over (my girl friend hates him). Which I think is perfect, he does not need to get on the mic for ten minutes. Just say a few words smile and get heat.
Otherwise he is just another X guy. I'm old school, but having some gimmick, is great as long as it is not beat into the ground.

He can talk and Lashley can't. They're clearly meant to be a tandem and MVP can't be around to bail the Battletoads ass every time he's gonna cut a promo. Kenny's failures on Impact and Slammiversary have him firmly set as a midcard guy and will most likely go after the X Division title by Destination X.

He's merely the Red Oni to Lashley's Blue Oni. And it's a damn good role too.

I'm loving what they're doing with Kenny King - he's loud, brash, insubordinate and (refreshingly) doesn't appear to have the heel cowardice dynamic. Okay, so he has losses to some of TNA's TOP guys but he also has made MVP look foolish just prior to MVP recruiting him, made Lashley look fantastic also prior to their power faction. Even since the partnership of the three - he has been the catalyst behind many matches MVP would try to duck.

So, I really fail to see how being competitive against the World Champion and Austin Aries can be regarded as him being a failure.

Kenny King is a pathetic character if you ask me. I get that he's trying to feed off of the boxing/hype man gimmick, but that itself comes across as laughably lame.

The thing is, I bet he's pretty talented in the ring. However, his entire gimmick is anti-wrestling. Meanwhile, he isn't very charismatic overall, and even the name "Kenny King" is vanilla.

I can see a thing or two that is positive about him, but overall he's not very effective.
