What's so special about the number 30?

Why does this WM have to be the biggest ever? I see forum members saying this WM is going to be the "biggest ever" or has to be the "biggest ever". Why?

Did Vince promise this in any other way than hype and sensationalism?

I look at this roster and don't see it happening. Cena, Orton, Bryan, Punk, Lesnar, HHH, UT and Batista are fine but they are exactly a replacement for the addition of The Rock for 28 and 29. They don't get people to watch the way having SCSA and the Donald did for 23.

What does WWE have that should make any of us think this WM is going to be the biggest? The number 30 traditionally doesn't mean as much as a 10 year anniversary, or a quarter or half century. They aren't breaking any wrestling attendance records. God help us if they extend the show past four hours. I just don't see the buys breaking WM 23, 28, and 29 with this line up.

Are there celebrities in the mix that could jack things up? Is Hogan actually fit? Is SCSA coming back? Is HBK breaking his vow? Does The Rock have some free time we don't know about?

Does anyone really think WM 30 is going to be the biggest? If so, how? I'm not saying it won't be a good show. I think Raw has been fantastic over the past year. I just don't see where this 'biggest' mindset is coming from?

Is it just those damn dirty dirt sheets just trying to kiss Vince's ass by trying to influence pablum puking forum marks in to assuming something that a rational thinking person can see?

What am I missing?

The roster isn't strong enough to make it a big deal.
People are going to get worked up and expect a great show and within minutes of the ending are going to be complaining about being let down.
Honestly during the show people will probably complain about being let down.

Well, to start with it's the result of multiplying the first three prime numbers. Also end with.

Actually, 1 times 2 times 3 equals 6. And, yes, before you flame, 1 in a prime number by definition.

Now, the big deal with 30 is that Vince always, since Mania 10, makes a bigger deal out of the 5 and 10 Manias. Give it time to start to build. RR has to happen first, and then the roll will start.

Wikipedia said:
A prime number (or a prime) is a natural number greater than 1 that has no positive divisors other than 1 and itself.
A prime number requires exactly two factors, not one. I know, facts, proof, sing it to Mark Madden.

Personally I don't expect much from WM30, if it ends up being just good I will be more than satisfied.

From a business perspective I would think you would want to make every Wrestlemania bigger and better than the ones before it whether it be 30, 33, 37, ect.

Also considering WWE is close to annihilating their profit records between the WWE Network and their next TV deal I would expect alot more effort put into that than Wrestlemania 30 for the time being, that way they won't have to rely on Wrestlemania as much as they used to.

30 is a number that is divisible by 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 15 and 30- all of them, so its pretty significant ;)
Here, 30 marks the 30th anniversary of Wrestlemania; its always good to have a round figure in the end when we talk about records... Plus we know that many of the big names like Undertaker, Stone Cold, Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Ric Flair etc. may not be present to even make a cameo appearance at Wrestlemania 40 (the next wrestlemania ending in a round figure), so better utilise them while they are still available.

Every WM is billed as the biggest ever. It's hype to get you to buy the PPV.

I'm just not looking forward to them calling it the 30th anniversary however.

Remember when you turned 30 Georgy?

Its kinda like that.
So, filled with expectations, and then a huge let down where you just end up going to a bar for the night with a few buddies?

Throw in a phone call from your mother asking why you haven't settled down and had kids yet, and we're there.

Well the wrestler who enters at number 30 has potentially the least amount of other participants to eliminate, whilst also being the fresher man.

Oh, wait, you meant Wrestlemania, right. Well it's just a nice round number, innit?

My 30th was even less eventful. Pretty sure I didn't leave the house.

As for Wrestlemania XXX, I am looking forward to what could be a rather stacked card for wrestling rather than just spectacle.

So it's hype, the answer is hype. No attendance or buy records, no return of SCSA, no fifth hour. Just hype.

And for those playing at home, Sp!der wins the thread. Referencing porn in you answer is always a winner. I would have also accepted "honoring Vin Diesel" as a correct answer.

Women get hornier after they're 30. So there's that.

I'm sorry, this is a wonderful entry and deserves praise but I clearly stated that Sp!der won the thread. Your efforts are duly noted but the rules of this thread clearly did not state that all entries must not be submitted at a time that was not 7:30am CDT FRI, JAN 3, 2014.

Better luck next thread.

Screw your rules. Then screw some milfy 30+ chick.

I still win.

Because its the 30th annual Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania - 10 was billed as "Ten Years in the Making"

Wrestlemania 20 - "Where it all Begins Again"

Wrestlemania 30 might signify a start of a new era in WWE.
