What will Mark Henry do on his return??

L@RISANO

R.I.P Mustang Sally :( :( :(
Mark Henry was announced to be returning on Next Week's RAW show.
He was laid out before the Royal Rumble after answering the challenge of Brock Lesnar and hasn't been seen since.

With him now returning, will he just be used to make someone look strong or will he have a programme with someone and be relevant?
Is he going to acknowledge the Lesnar beating or will he forget it ever happened even though it was only a few weeks ago?

Personally, I would keep him as a face since his turn was so recent.
I would also make it look as though he has given up on feuding with Lesnar and just accept that Lesnar is a Strong,Violent Beast as he has been portrayed(Especially since Lesnar might well not even appear until Post-EC).

Bad News Barrett needs to have a feud with someone, and in light of King saying he won't be here next week...
Have Mark Henry be the one bring down the podium and get into a short feud leading upto Elimination Chamber.
It gives both guys something to do rather than continue to be random in their appearances with no purpose.

Your thoughts?

Bring him back to lead Titus and Big E. as the new Nation of Domination. That way he won't have to wrestle too often and get injured again. He does great promo work. Gives Big E a story as well as Titus O' Niel. I'd even throw Roman Reigns in there, that way he can get out on his own separate path from The Shield, but still have something to back him if he starts to flop. But have each member fight their own singles matches and have them tag a lot less often then typical. Or have them fight singles matches on Raw but tag on Smackdown.

Darren Young could even be their "Ahmed Johnson" as in their main enemy, who runs in and attacks them with a weapon or something. Helps keep him relevant, and if the NOD are good enough heels, Young could get over pretty well as the hero.

Essentially, Mark Henry was doing nothing before the Lesnar incident, in that he wasn't pursuing titles or winning significant matches. Yes, he was befriending Big E Langston, but that was more of a way station on Big E's path to getting better known than accomplishing anything for Henry.

As far as I can see, Mark will go back to doing nothing when he returns. After all, I presume he wasn't really injured by Brock and that the only reason he took some time off was to sell Brock's beating, right?

But, consider: Mark had just come off a huge amount of time away from the ring, after having suffered still another of his serious injuries that kept him on the sidelines for up to a year. If management had anything of consequence planned for Henry, would they really be giving him a vacation so soon after he returned from months and months on the sidelines?

If they had serious plans in mind for him, they wouldn't. I think Mark Henry's days as a main event performer in WWE have ended. From now on, they'll do with him what they were doing 3 years ago: bringing him to the ring to face up-and-comers who need a boost. Mark Henry will posture, growl, flex his muscles.......and lose.

But he'll look fearsome doing it.

Continue the feud with Lesnar. Get some sort of payback with him going over after WM. I'm guessing Lesnar will disappear for a few months after WM anyways.

I fear the WSM main event days are behind him. He is getting a lot older and injury after injury have just killed him. This monster gimmick they should have done this when he first made his debut. Last time he was i guess mentoring Big E Langston given both of them are former or current powerlifters! I presume Mark Henry is fine, taking more time off to sell the injury suffered at the hands of the Monster Incarnate Brock Lesnarrrrrrrrrrrr!

When he returns i like him to mentor Titus O'Neal that would be a good fit IMO!

Bring back a babyface version of the Nation of Domination? I don't know about all that but,

Mark Henry has been in the WWE for over 18 years now and just now getting around to being in the main event scene and being a world champion. It's a shame that in all time Mark Heny has never lead a faction of superstars. To closes that Henry has been seen in a leader role was when he led six jobbers in a 7 on 7 match against the Nexus on RAW a few years ago. Mark Henry can be token seriously as a leader if the WWE just gave him a chance.

Mark Henry is a backstage mentor to the newer superstars, mainly to african-american superstars like Big E Langton, Kofi Kingston, Titus O'Neal, ECT. So in the sence that this is black history month. Why can't the WWE debut a stable of african-american wrestlers under the led of Mark Henry that's on the flipside that the Nation of Domination was? And this idea is not racist at all to those who are thinking that it is!

Remember wrestling had ethnic factions like the Four Horsemen, the Latino World Order, Kaintai, the Samona Gangsta Party (ECW). I think even Tajiri had a stable on the Smackdown brand in 2003. So why not Mark Henry? Give the man his due as a leader ON SCREEN WWE!

I don't think anyone will say Mark Henry is best for business anymore, but there is a lot to be said of the whole mentoring angle, Henry would be perfect for a role like that. I'm hoping they would not us the name N.O.D. as then they might be judged against the old faction. They need to be their own creation with guys like Big E and Titus, let them try and become stars without having to live up to something they had nothing to do with.

Have him come back and show what kept him out. **Replays Brock Lesnar's two attacks and show's Big Show going for the save** Then have him say how he got beat bad the first time and got his ass kicked the second time as well but Big Show had his and what was surprising was the Big E didn't try to help him none of the two incidents and he thought they were friends. Big E comes out and tries to explain himself. Mark says it's cool. 2 weeks later he turns on Big E and says he couldn't let it go.

At this point of Mark Henry's career he needs to be aligned with someone like a Big E or Titus. A heel Mark Henry is better than the smiling one that we have been seeing lately. I can see him turning on Big E for not helping him out against Lesnar come out saying he wants revenge on Lesnar and challenges him to a match at Elimination Chamber.

I think Henry is best as a heel. I've said for a while now that he should turn on Langston and face him for the IC Title at 'Mania. Give him a good spot on the card, because this might be his last time performing at WM. Putting Langston over would make him look strong and credible. It would be a big win for Big E in my opinion. Langston vs Henry is a match I'd like to see.

I don't mind that Nation of Domination idea at all though, honestly. Putting O'Neill with him would definitely be a way to get him higher on the food chain. I really like Titus personally, and think he should be in line for a IC Title feud with Langston after 'Mania.

Generally speaking, I expect Lesnar to ultimately be put on the backburner until after WrestleMania. As others have pointed out, Henry's getting older and he's been plagued by injuries quite a lot for the last while, so his days as a main eventer are probably done. He wasn't doing much of anything before being "injured", so I think he'll mostly go back to that.

He seemed to be, ultimately, just getting back into the swing of things and being a mentor to Big E. There was talk a few months back of turning Henry heel and have him feud with Langston over the IC title. IF WWE goes forward with the notion of unifying the IC & US titles, which would almost certainly happen at WrestleMania if it happens at all, I can see Henry stepping up shortly thereafter to go after Big E as I see Big E coming out the winner of that match. Whether or not the titles are unified, I can still see Henry as a strong challenger for the IC title.

If the reports are real he is set to face Big E.Langston at WrestleMania so i'd have him start his feud with Big E.He can attack him for notability saving him from Lesnar turning heel or have him call out Brock but Langston comes out attack him claiming there is a new worlds strongest men with Langston turning heel.

The NOD idea is interesting as Big E is basically wearing the gear already... but I think this should be Kofi's baby... he instigates as the NOD "inspired him", he can go to Langston and say "you're already wearing the colours" and Henry being part of the group works... add Titus in there and you have a strong faction of singles stars... Ron could always be the manager if they really need that link... The black panther salute would be gone but they could easily come up with a new tweener take on it...

In a fantasy world the NOD idea would be great but I can't see a PG wwe running another race based angle - black history month or not.

The best idea would be Henry starting a fued with Big E for the I.C title at mania.
I'd like to see wwe start running backstage segments with Big E pulling off strongman stunts much like the do with Mark Henry. They could get the other superstars to tweet #newstrongestman or something along those lines. This will set up a jealousy angle with Mark finally turning on Big E saying he's taking back his rightfull claim as the worlds strongest man AND he's taking the I.C title too!
