What is the best "Babyface-to-heel" transition?

Chicago1989

Ain't it sleep first then eat?
There's been many different kinds of ways to become a heel and vice-versa over the years. Some are old and have been done many times, while there's some that are new and different. I wanted to know what you guys think is the best way to turn heel and I'll also give you guys an example as to which is my favorite transition.

When The Rock debuted back in 1996 as Rocky Maivia, the clean-cut 3rd-generation babyface, he was loved by the fans right away. He became popular and was starting to grow a fanbase, consisting of mostly kids and women. As times went on and when the business was going through alot of changes, the love for Rocky Maivia was also changing. It was at this time that Stone Cold was becoming rebellious and Hulk Hogan had just turned heel. So because of these big things, the fans were getting tired of the same, old babyface act. The fans started to boo him while Rocky couldn't understand why. And then the hate got even more intense; They started chanting "Die Rocky Die!", they were booing Rocky out the building, and just hating the guy. So because of this, what did Rocky do?...He turned heel by joining The Nation Of Domination and was slowly changing his character. He became The Rock, a guy who felt who was disgusted with how the fans turned on him, not Rocky. Cena could've also went with this transition back in '06-'07 since he was also hated for the same reason.

This also isn't the first time that The Rock was forced to turn heel this way. Back in 2002, he was started to get booed by the fans again because they were growing tired of him. So he turned heel once again, becoming "Hollywood" Rock, a wrestler-turned-movie star who felt that the fans turned on him while they think he "Sold-out". He became of the best heels at that time, making him very good playing both the babyface and heel.

So guys, while there's many scenarios to go with, which do you think is the best way to turn heel?
