What Is A Port Vale?

It's a Stoke football team. But there's no ports in Stoke, and it's about there ground is about 10 miles from Trent Vale. If somebody knows the answer than that would be groovy.

So it used to exist, but doesn't anymore.

The Trent is nowhere near Burslem. It sounds to me that some kids wanted to start a football team, and hey presto The Vale were born.

Then they should have taken the name Burslem City. Because that's where Port Vale is.
