What in the world is Sting wearing?

Yet another typical TNA thread, we got the WWE marks bitching about TNA being dumb and stupid, and we got the TNA deffenders sticking up for them and Sting.

So I'll say it again, I watch both shows because I love the wrestling product in generial and they both offer different things for me to enjoy. Moreso WWE because TNA does some strange things but none the less I watch them both. So here is my non bashing TNA, non WWE markish reply.

This new sting outfit looks dumb. His eighties attire had more white and light blue and green, dont recal much orange and red in his early days, then onto his "crow" character which I loved you got the white and black, and also red and black, because WCW was so crazy about their colors of NWO lol. I honestly think though that this coat just does not fit anything he's ever done. I know he had to update a bit but man this is bad IMO.

Yes before I get bashed, WWE/F has done some dumb things, Duke the dumpster Drosey???? lol dumb.

I think the pattern on the tights could be toned down a bit, but otherwise there's nothing wrong with the look. The jacket is pretty cool and looks a lot more flashy, something suiting a legend of sting's caliber. The black jacket and crow ripoff attire is just too 90's goth; I think Sting would look less ridiculous wearing his current attire out in public than the goth gear. Besides, Sting has been energetic and charismatic on the mic for years now; not dark and moody and brooding. The Crow gimmick just doesn't really fit his personality anymore.

Has anyone perhaps considered that Sting doesn't want to be the Crow anymore? Maybe he's decided that since he was he one who was open, and on the frontline about Hogan and Bischoff, trying to warn the people, maybe hiding in the shadows until he was ready to fight doesn't suit that anymore? And with that consideration, you have to consider that having the Crow's attire would draw away from that, because it would be just as it was before, and no-one would think of the "new" Sting.

That's what I think, and for the record, I like Sting's attire.

Gobbledeegooker, Saba Simba, Repo Man, etc..etc.
People need to stop picking on TNA for something they don't agree with.
I'll still take TNA over the boring re-hashed crap that WWe puits out.
How about that original main event at WM, HHH vs Undertaker !!
And people criticize TNA for not putting the young guys over !!

Sting looks cool no matter what outfit he uses..

Anyway, I think it really fits Sting's new character. He's still being serious, but he's trying to bring back some of that old 80s & 90s charisma with the retro getup that looks really flashy, and I think it works for him. Besides, he couldn't keep wearing that black trenchcaot forever. Even people like Undertaker have changed their clothing every few years to keep it fresh. Like last year when Taker started wearing that black hooded robe to the ring, or this year bringing back the leather pants and belt.

People complained when he wore the Purple jacket with MEM. I agree the glitter on the tights is a ittle much maybe a dark red,or a regular red would look cool. The only thing I don't like is the fringe on the jacket. That is it!

Am not too fussed.. It's a change and it's not one that has really effected him in any way.. When I first saw it, I was thinking about his surfer gimmick.. The colourful crow.. Jus adding a bit of spice to his threads.. although I miss the scorpion.. on the legs..

I did wonder why it had to be red and yellow/gold myself. If you do recall, when RVD won the title, he was also in a red/yellow outfit and red and yellow confetti fell down around the arena. Don't remember him wearing that much red and yellow before TNA. Just sayin'...

Oh, but back to the outfit. Definitely too flashy. Jacket does nothing for him. And fringes? I think the only guy that could get away w/fringes these days would be a returning Macho Man.

It just looks like a matador jacket, or like he's in a Thriller video, or like a country club resort bellhop jacket.

Television doesn't do Stings new ring attire justice, it is badass when you see it live. There is no yellow in it, its red, gold & black and blinged out. Since his new mission is to save the company from Hogan & Bishoff it makes sense that he would change from the black "dark side Sting" attire he was wearing before he disappeared for a few months. The new face paint is badass too. I love the new look and I'm glad he's back.

Why do people care what Sting wears to the ring? He could be wearing a G-string to the ring and i still wouldn't care, i would say its weird but i wouldn't care.

It's supposed to be Kabuki inspired, like his facepaint. I think it's great, and as mentioned before, an overdue change seeing as his previous gear was ripped off from a film released in 1994...
