What if Vince Reopens WCW?

hey sorry if this has been done before but I was thinking today and well what if vince decided to reopen WCW and place a complete writing staff their maybe paul heyman or even Kevin Nash as the booker and let them run wild with it for example their own PPV's and weekly TV show and so on but at Bragging Right have the 2 promotions fight it out once a year so my question is.......

What talent would you sign from TNA and ROH or the independent ciruit?

What titles would you have?

Who would you poach from Raw and Smackdown?

I don't know why I'm responding to this, but I'm bored and every other good thread is about 3.3.11 or why TNA sucks, and my opinions are already out there.

First of all, there would ne point in WWE reopening WCW, not even for a night. ECW was brought back to life due to how people reacted to the DVD's WWE released on WCW, with the help of Paul Heyman who was affiliated with the company. The WCW DVD didn't do half as well, and didn't generate any buzz.

When ECW died it still had a lot to offer, but Heyman financially was shit. WCW died when WCW sucked, was boring and nobody cared for it. It died when it was supposed to, and it can stay buried.

But, I'll go along with the thread. Although it won't make much sense.

Obviously I'd bring back someone who knew WCW like the back of their hand, and not Eric Bischoff. Think, Arn Anderson or Ric Flair.

And, I hope you see what I did when I came to Smackdown and RAW! Asides from Booker, Wilson and Swagger I gave them the shit of the brands. Nobody would join a WCW rebirth anyway. Makes me shiver thinking of it... Huuuughh!

What you just suggested is exactly what the WWE has already done, they re-created a new show, new talents, everything, and called it Smackdown. This happened years ago. The show is still on. You ask what WOULD happen? Look at what already has happened. There's your answer.

And how about I ask you what WCW are we talking about cause seems like if you want arn anderson your talking about the baby blue and yellow crappy ecw you know when sting was blonde lol. I would love to see smackdown changed to nitro. If they were to do it, it needs to change on every level of the show. Everybody shits there pants with excitement when the attitude era comes up. Why not have the biggest rival to ever compete with the wwe be there second show. All you get is whining and complaining about the PG era and they need to revisit the attitude era. WCW sucked at the end. As I recall they put vince at his knees for a period of time.

Hum ok looks good on paper, but wait for it......... wait for it...... its already been done what do you think smackdown is? Granted its not exactly WCW but they could have fooled me. Vince could just rename Smackdown WCW and it would be ok.

Uhm, Smackdown was out as a show long before WCW died, so no, Smackdown is not a replacement for WCW. And I don't understand people's obsession with WWE, so I guess us WCW fans out there are even, yes?

Now, as to your question, as an oldschool WCW fan that was watching that product when it was still NWA, I can't fathom why you would want this to happen. The point being that Vince already did it with his "Invasion" thing in 2001. It sucked. WCW fans were basically chased off because Vince took everything that we liked about WCW and removed it and made it a generic Wrestling Company so he could push Stone Cold and Kurt Angle some more. In the end, WCW was laughable due to mismanagement and it died when it needed to as I am not even sure if it was fixable at that point. Enjoy what was there because it will not happen again in the industry. WCW is dead and will stay that way, period.

We get enough threads like this. There are already two separate shows. Vince tried to bring back ECW and we all saw how that turned out. What makes anyone think WCW would be any better? This topic has been done to death.
