Seriously has anyone ever thought about this? What if the Confederates had garnered a second or third wind and went out and kicked the Union's asses in the Civil QWar. What if the union and the confederacy never remerged. Would the United States still be a divided country? Would the United States even be on the map. I truly believe that if the Civil War result is not what it is, the US ends up slowly dying and possibly reverting to a third world country status. (In terms of power I mean). The world power today would probably be the Brits or the Chinese. So what are your thoughts? What happens if the union does NOT win the Civil War?
