What if? The Kilq were an actual stable in WCW/WWE?

It's...Baylariat!

Imagine this:

Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, HHH, Shawn Michaels, and Sean Waltman as an acutal faction in pro wrestling. Imagine the promos, the matches, the rivalries, the moments in wrestling history. Between these two, they created the two most dominant factions in the last 10-15 years. What if the figure heads of DX and the NWO were in ONE faction? Backstage, they were best friends and if things would have turned out different, Hall and Nash didn't leave for WCW, I feel this could have been a faction that would have rivaled the Four Horsemen. And that's a bold statement.

SO... what if this came true? What do you guys think would have happened to wrestling if they were a faction in WCW? WWE? How would the landscape have changed? Would Hulk Hogan have joined the Kliq if they were in WCW? Would Hogan have tried to join them in the WWE? So many possibilites. Discuss.

I think if the Kilq were to have been an actual stable then the politics backstage would have been damn near unbearable. They would have run the WWE and would have held all the belts the way they worked with Vince. They basically had the boss in their pocket and I don't want to take anything away from their in ring abilities but they would have used Vince to keep all the belts around their waists. I don't think Hogan would have tried to jump back the WWE either. He would have stayed in WCW and kept his stale, at the time, Real American gimmick. He would have continued to feud with the likes of Sting, Goldberg, Savage and The Giant and would have returned to WWE in 2002 or so. I think Hall and Nash would have done their Outsiders tag team as well, maybe not with the same name, but they would have held the tag belts. Also Hall, Nash, HBK, and HH would have probably all at some point won the WWE title. Waltman was never big enough of a name in my eyes to win that title but he would have more then likely held the IC belt. If the Kliq were a team we probably would never have had DX and all these DX reunions. More likely we would have had Kliq reunions now adays. The Kilq is a good idea in theory but I think overall it would have hurt the WWE and its future stars such as Austin and The Rock. They would have had a much harder time breaking through to the main event if the Kliq was in the way.

I know one thing, we would've seen the Hart Foundation vs. The Kliq, plus without the nWo, WCW probably wouldn't have been in the position 2 pose a threat 2 the WWF @ the time.

Politicking would be very prevalent, no doubt, but if they put their egos aside it could lead to some amazing stroylines, and feuds for sure.

The promos would be amusing, I would like to see the Outsiders Tag Team return if this mega faction was created. DX would most likely be after the WWE title, on multiple occasions, and maybe there would be a power struggle for the leadership of the group, between HHH and HBK.

Waltman, could be the so called man in the middle, he would accompany the other guys to the ring, and get into some high profile upper mid card feuds. He could feud with the guys connected to the top feuds with DX, Hall and Nash.

If done right, it could be very entertaining and profitable.

We almost got to see the formation of the "DXWO" in 2002, when Shawn Michaels joined the WWE's version of the NWO. They even tried to recruit Triple H, but he was focused on the WWE World title. It would have had to been around 2002-2003 if this was ever gonna happen. Prolly the last year or so that Scott Hall was in shape enuff to wrestle. It could have been cool to see Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Triple H and X-Pac goin up against Kurt Angle, Undertaker, Edge, The Rock and Rey Misterio in a 5 on 5 match.

I think Shawn Waltman would have been the Cody Rhodes of the group and would have been kicked out. You also have to factor in that Shawn Michaels had a series back injury. I think he would have still dropped the title to Austin at WM XIV so it wouldn't have derailed the Austin/Attitude era whatsoever. In fact, I could see the WWF holding off the Nash/Undertaker WM match until Mania XIV instead of a year prior. I do see Nash & Hall holding the tag titles instead of say, Foley & Funk or the New Age Outlaws. I doubt the Outlaws would have made it past mid-card tag status, which would have been fine. I could picture Nash & Hall vs. Foley & Funk at Mania XIV as well.

Shawn would have been an advisor (i.e. Rick Rude) until he returned (if ever until 2002) and HHH would have kept his role as the "leader" of the Kilq (or DX if they had decided to change names). Finally and probably more damanging, if all this had occured with the same players (i.e. Rock, Austin, Foley, Kane (who I would have debuted at Mania maybe costing Taker the match against Nash), Shamrock, and McMahon, then WCW would have died in 1998-99 instead of 2001. WCW stayed alive due, in large part, to the nWo angle and I doubt Goldberg would have signed with WCW because who would he have fought? A face Savage, Sting, Luger or Hogan? Nope.

If Nash/Hall would have stayed in WWE, they probably wouldn't have became the outsiders. Hall was moving up the card as a future main eventer and Nash already had a year long reign as champion. Following HBK's injury I would say that Nash would have became faction leader, and we wouldn't have seen HHH ascend to main event status as quickly without his prominent role in DX.

It would be cool to see a Kliq team at a survivor series in the future just for nostalgia purposes. I bet that when Nash's TNA contract expires, if Hall can get in shape and if Waltman is ready and available for the angle it could be effective. It would be a good way to put over a younger heel team.

I agree with previous posts, that the Outsiders to WCW made wrestling interesting. It opened up so many avenues for WCW by having 2 main event heels in such a great angle and freed up opportunity for WWF stars to reach the main event. Also if the Kliq was a faction in the WWE, they would constantly be at the top feuding for the strap, not leaving much opportunity for other stars to get enough tv time and a chance at the main event.

Its really hard to say that Shawn still would have gotten hurt because if the other 3 stayed and they did have the Kliq as a stable, I don't thin Shawn would have been put in a program with the Undertaker in that specific match at that point in time. Nash had unfinished biz with the Undertaker. Hall was a big worker, so I'm sure he would have done a program with Undertaker. If all those guys stayed. If Hall and Nash didn't leave to start the Outsiders, I doubt the WWF would have been bad off financially which means Bret wouldn't have been asked out of his contract and HBK would have had biz with him. Its really hard to say what would have happened because one change causes a snowball effect that alters everything.

it would be a fuckin´chaos, ash them 5 would try to get all the spost in the company and get all the belts, everyone knows hoy massive their egos are, but anyways, it´d be something really interesting to see, as Nash, Hall, Michaels, Hunter and Waltman are experts in the art of creating controversy

It depends when it was launched. If it started when they were all in the WWE in 1994-6, then it would have made WWE an orgy of shitness. The only thing that was good in the WWE outside the Harts then was the feuds between Razor and Michaels and to a lesser extent Diesel an Michaels.

These guys helped raise each others' games and putting them together so soon would have killed their respective momenta. The kliq were pretty much the main reason for each of their own rises to the top, or in X-Pac's case the middle except for probably Hall, so I think putting them together would have made for worse careers all round, with maybe Michaels and Razor having a feud at the end of it all.
