What if....Sid never broke his leg?

Getting Noticed By Management
WCW had to change a bunch of thing because of this incident, including the next ppv, where Steiner faced DDP instead of Vicious. I would imagine Sid would've beaten Steiner for the title at that ppv. So..does Booker T still win the title on the last Nitro, Or does Sid keep it? Imagine how different the invasion angle had been if Sid was the leader, makes it more interesting. I would imagine that after the angle was over, he would have stuck around, won a title or 2, then maybe retired. Do you guys agree? Does WCW end with him as champ, and what happens?

It really depends on who was signed to wrestle with WWE. If WWE wasn't interested in Sid, which I highly doubt they were, then Booker T is still the champ coming into the Invasion angle. WWE owned WCW by then. Heck WWE would probably have preferred Sting or Goldberg to come into the company with the title if they could have, which would have made the Invasion angle much more interesting.

Wow really? Sid was and is one of the most talentless guys in the business. He was immobile in the ring. His attitude wasnt all that great either. Sid only had one good move and that was the power bomb, wich is used in every other match now. He never should have jumped off the rope anyway. I know WCW instructed him to do it , but he should have just stuck with his answer anyway and said no because of the risk.

Personally, even if Sid Vicious had not injured his leg, I don't think WWE would have been interested in bringing him back into the fold when they bought WCW in 2001. In my opinion, Sid Vicious stopped being a credible main-eventer after his second run with WCW in 1993. While he became world champion in both the WWF and WCW after 1993, these championship runs were both at times when the WWF and WCW were at all-time lows. Furthermore, in contrast to Sid Vicious, the wrestlers whom the WWF brought in immediately after the WCW buyout were mainly unproven main-eventers or permanent mid-carders content with their situation. Thus, even assuming that Sid's contract was with WCW and not AOL Time Warner, I don't think the WWF would have been interested in bringing in someone who wouldn't have been content with playing second fiddle to the likes of The Rock, Kurt Angle, and Steve Austin.

I think he would have ended up in the WWE eventually but not right away. He probably would have sat out the rest of his contract. He'd probably be in TNA right now more than anything though. I'm surprised TNA hasn't signed him up right now. I'd like to see him return to the WWE. I always liked Sid but the again I always liked Nash, Big Show, Hogan and others who "couldn't wrestle".
