I'm not overly thrilled with the leadership of either Jeff Jarrett or Dixie Carter to be quite honest. However, that's not to say the neither of them have no merit.
Jeff Jarrett loves pro wrestling, it's been his life for pretty much his entire life literally. I respect that he took a shot in starting his own wrestling company and how far the company has progressed in a relatively short period of time. However, I think that Jarrett ultimately proved to be ineffective in getting TNA over the hump. There's been a lot of young, great talent on the TNA roster and TNA has had guys like Kurt Angle on the roster for several years but, for the most part, I believe that TNA has been a state of near stagnation for the past few years. As an active wrestler on the roster, and the founder, Jarrett is someone that kept himself in the spotlight and in main event situations over other wrestlers do the detriment of the company I think. Jeff Jarrett is not a main event wrestler and never should have been. He doesn't have the charisma and general capability in my opinion. As a wrestler in the main event, Jeff Jarrett always struck me as someone that was in over his head and didn't belong where he was. Not to say that he's not talented, but he's not someone that should be the face of a professional wrestling company. I think that by ramming himself down everyone's throat week in and week out, it hurt the product overall.
As for Dixie Carter, she has shaken things up in TNA over the past 6 months or so. Overall, I admit that I do find TNA to be more entertaining than it was when Jarrett was running around in charge of TNA's creative team. However, Dixie Carter doesn't know dick about wrestling or how it works. For her to give a lecture to the TNA roster about how they need to crank it up is an insult since she has demonstrated a number of times in the past that she just doesn't have the knowledge to ultimately be in charge. TNA is a business investment to her, it's not her life or her passion ultimately. Dixie Carter wants to compete with the WWE but seems to want to refuse to accept the fact that growth takes time. She wants to go head to head with the WWE yesterday seemingly and she believes that by signing Hulk Hogan to the TNA roster that it's going to happen. As of right now, I think bringing in Hulk Hogan is a mistake that could very much hurt TNA in the long run as Hulk Hogan is, first and foremost, about Hulk Hogan with everything else coming in at a distant second.
