Well I never seen that coming...

OwenHart100%legend

David French changed my life
These days with everyone having access to the net and sites such as WZ, with its forums, spoilers, and insider knowledge its practically impossible to keep anything a secret for to long. Add to that a general lack of creativity from the so called creative teams at WWE/Impact, and I think we would mostly agree that if we could bet on wrestling we would all be millionaires!

So I was wondering, what are the moments that truelly shocked or surprised you? From a unexpected return/debut or maybe a sudden heel/face turn or a push that you never thought would happen? Maybe even an angle that had you on the edge of your seat or hiding behind it in disgust? :)

The moments that made you realise that you havent seen it all and you dont know it all!

The Rock's recent return did it for me, I wasn't expexting The Rock to be revealed as Wm27's guest host, why? Cause the internet didn't know and no one spoiled it for me, the only hint that Rock was gonna return was that moments before it happened he tweeted "FINALLY.." On his twitter account, and I'm glad I was watching RAW when it happened cause the tweet quickly got noticed by the wrestling sites, so yeah The Rock returning was very shocking to me especially cause the rumor that broke out was that Bob Barker was gonna host Wm27.

Nexus debut.

I had just told my girlfriend that "WWE needed a BIG shock and awe angle, they haven't had one in awhile and are due for one," 10 minutes later Nexus debuts and destroys RAW.

Same with XxFuture-World-ChampsxX...the internet didn't spoil it and NO ONE saw it coming.

I would have to say John Cena's return to the Royal Rumble in '08. No one saw it coming and when he came in at #30, I was extremely shocked.

How did you guys not know about the rock? The internet did spoil it D= me and my friends were betting on it but i lost because i thought it would be beiber xD the moment of shock for me would be the miz cashing in and winning his title, i honestly thought that when he did it he would be the 1st ever to lose using a mitb briefcase

Im actually watching that on you tube right now thats just freaky lol and it was a shock Im still shocked watching it now and I know whats going to happen :lmao:

I think the moment that shocked me the most, despite happening just last month, was Edge's retirement. Here is a guy that I grew up watching, Always cheered for him now matter how much others hated him, followed his career from coming into the WWF as a loner to his time as the Rated R Superstar, and when he announced his retirement I was speechless, I remembered when he broke his neck in '03 and that he had been wrestling on borrowed time ever since, but I didn't expect that just a week after he retained his World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania of all places that he would be retiring.

I would say Kurt Angle screwing the Alliance at Survivor Series 2001. Of course we knew Team WWF was gone win but everybody thought Austin was defecting, but it turned out to be Kurt when he nailed Austin with the WWF title allowing The Rock to win it...

Chris Jericho winning the Undisputed championship. To beat out Angle, Rock, AND Austin? Even he didn't know it was going to happen.

That so many internet armchair wrestling experts are out there in the IWC, I always thought the internet would be more useful without them fucking up what can be otherwise really good wrestling discussion with stupid shit like buying into rumors and judging wrestlers based on their personal lives and not their abilities in the ring. It just never fails, you find a good thing and some asshole will be out there to fuck it all up.

Randy Savage dying. There was no spoiler, there was no insider knowledge, there was no internet rumours.....

Not the most tasteful thing I've read on these parts, and Killjoy's response was rather appropriate, but fuck it if what Mark Madden said was true about Randy Savage, he'd probably appreciate it.

After all, read Madden's latest column and he said that on a flight with Randy they hit some scary turbulence (most often is there any other kind, but I digress) and Randy said according to Madden in my best paraphrasing possible...just think of the ratings that the memorial show would deliver and it was probably followed up by an Oh Yeah.

The Nexus debut is the only wrestling angle I have ever seen where no one could even comprehend what was about to happen. Incredible stuff.

Sheamus beating Cena in the tables match for the WWe belt. Even now, I'm not 100% sure that he was meant to lose, it still looks like a 'You f***ed up!' botched spot.

Sting's 90 second win over Jeff Hardy. It might have been crap but it was still out of left field and unpredictable.
