Weekend Mornings

Hey WWE you guys really want to expand your profits and your PG Era 2.0 it's so simple and it worked before. Weekend morning programming.

Ya know I heard Superstars needs a home so instead of The E putting it on WWE.com they should just get it syndicated like they did in the 80's & 90's. Before Raw & Smackdown there were the shows Superstars, Wrestling Challenge, All American Wrestling. Then once Raw came along you had WWF Mania. All of these shows appeared on tv on the weekends between 10am-12pm going right into the target audiance kids.

Not everyone can afford the high price of cable/sattelite these days. Not every kid is allowed to stay up past 10pm which cuts into chunk of the Raw audience. I know people would say DVR but that's an add on to an already high bill

Boy was I lucky growing up if I couldn't watch Raw I had Mania in the mornings and WCW Saturday Night in the evening still knew what was going on even if I couldn't watch all of it. The WWE really needs to think about this helping there overall product it's just not the kids they're after it's the family they're after. Hmmmmm why does that seem familar

So the question is if you where in charge of weekend WWE programing

What show would you do?
What would be on the show?
Who would be the announce team?

My show Would be Superstars with the 2 matches. 1st match would be Raw mid-card heel vs face 2nd match would be Smackdown mid-card face vs heel. Show highlights from upper mid-card to main eventers from Raw & Smackdown announce team would be Scott Stafford & Todd Grisham from 10am-12pm on FOX it would be a great lead in for baseball on FOX

I've always thought this would be a great idea to bring these back. Or at least bring back the recap shows. Growing up I watched Livewire on Saturday morning and Superstars on Sunday morning. I'll never understand how WWE markets a show on Monday nights from 9pm to 11pm to children. The way they did it in the late 90s was perfect; RAW and SD! they did whatever they wanted, then on weekend mornings they edited it and packaged it for kids. Seems like a win-win IMO.

Dude I so remember that and would love for it to come back on Sat at Noon on NBC, since all their shows are on an NBC owned station. It would be like it was back in the 80's, they could start off with a real block of cartoons and then wrestling. Hell WWE could actually come out with a new Cartoon with Cena in it with the other superstars it could be called Cenation's Loyalty, Hustle, and Respect, have the heels do things to thwart Cena and his band of Faces. I think it could work now.

If I restarted a show on Saturdays it would be and hour show, with 2 lower card guys and 2 matches of relevance (meaning it deals with what is going on in either raw or smackdown) show a few highlights of Raw and smackdown, I don't want a whole show recapping what happened on either show. I hated that crap when it was on WWE rewind, WWE AXXESS or whatever their shitty names where. Why would you want to watch a recap show when you add new matches and continue real story lines on a real show. What drew me into wrestling was the Saturday show with real matches and real stories being developed. I want a real serious show not a bullshit one. Announcers could be Jim Ross whom you don't see but does his voice over during the matches along with Lawler where they just did play by play during the matches with no interuptions, JR could actually be the host of the Show where he give a brief description what has been going on in Raw, have a couple of matches then he comes back and does a recap of Smackdown and the final two matches.

If the show was 2 hours, make it a real show no recap bullcrap with real stories. It is the third show and it can be used to make matches between Raw and Smackdown superstars. It can also help to further feuds that have been started and keep you wanting to watch the show every weekend.

I would like for that to happen, i mean there is not much to watch on the weekends anyways except the occaisonal pay per view. They do have recap shows btw, on USA on sundays but it at like 4am.
