Victory Road - TNA World Tag Team Championship - Beer Money (c) vs Main Event Mafia

As part of the deal brokered by Mick Foley and Kurt Angle, Foley gets a WHC match while Booker T and Scott Steiner, representing the Mafia, get a world tag team title match. They had to go through Team 3D to get it, but now they've got it and it's time to go.

Beer Money is, of course, one of the best tag teams around today and Booker and Scotty are still going strong - Booker moreso than Scott, but still. I still enjoy what Scott Steiner can do in the ring, and Booker is still very good. Beer Money has been aching for some fresh competition and this is where its at. I thought the two Impact singles matches were both pretty good, do hopefully the chemistry present there carries over even better to the tag match itself.

I predict a Mafia win here. I think we're going to see the inevitable gathering of all the TNA titles into the Mafia (Angle with WHC, Nash with Legends, Joe or Morgan with X Division, and Booker and Scotty with the tag titles). The collection of more gold for the Mafia will increase their power and probably bring the stable to a climax, from which it'll slowly collapse (I think we'll see it split along the same lines of the nWo, possibly with Nash forming another Wolfpac-esque splinter group). But anyway, that's getting away from the center of this match. I see a rematch, certainly, before we see Booker and Scotty wrestle Team 3D, the Invasion, or LAX in their next program.

So, I figure on a good match and a title change, with these teams working a program that includes a rematch or two before the other teams get a shot.

I, being the Belt Mark that I am, hope your prediction comes true. Victory Road 2009 should be for the M. E. Mob what Armageddon 2003 was for Evolution. Is Joe getting a shot at Suicide?? In any event, I completely agree that this should, could, and would be the climax of the Mafia if they were to walk out as the “Golden Team”. One thing though, do we really want to see a split in the Mob and how would you divide them up??

I actually hope Beer Money wins. I have become fans of theirs. They are a great team, best in the business in my opinion and think that if belts are going to mean anything in TNA they have to be held by great wrestlers for a good reign each time. If they don't do that the championships will become as irrelivant as they are in the WWE.

Booker and Scotty definetly should win this to bring the MEM to their peak. Of course, like most of the other MEM matches at Victory Road, this should include some interference on their part to help them get the win.

Either that, or a miscommunication by Beer Money leading to a split. I think it's about time that Storm and Roode went on the prove themselves as singles competitors, especially with the TNA tag division being rather crowded at the moment. Personally, I don't think either of them are that great, but if they're going to make names for themselves the time is now.

Beer Money are the best tag team in wrestling today. They are entertaining, funny, charismatic, good on the mic and great in the ring. They're almost perfect. While booker T and Scott Steiner, well, the words "washed-up","old" and "useless" come to mind.Scotty and Booker need to realise something, they suck now. They're too old. They're actually on the verge of doing a kevin Nash,by not being able to put on a functional match unless a brilliant worker like AJ Styles is there.Well Steiner is,Booker not so much. Now I am not looking forward to this match.I love Beer Money, and I hope they win.But they will be screwed out of their title. And interference will be the key.Whether it be The Mafia or the Foreigners, someone will probably interfere and cause Beer Money to lose their titles.the Main event mafia will probably leave Victory road with most,if not all of the titles (except the X division obviously).Unfortunately, but maybe it might lead to a single's run.

If they are going to have the Mafia win most of the titles than Booker and Steiner will win here. I think they may split Beer Money up but they will probably hold off on that for a couple of months. Should be a good match but one that is highly forgettable.
