Vickie's stipulations

I'll be honest, these stipulations are getting a bit silly. It's entertaining to see her try to screw Edge over week-in and week-out, but if she's so determined for Ziggler to be champion, then she has two pretty simple choices.

1. Just give him the damn belt
2. Create a match stipulation wherein Edge must drop the title no matter what

Hell, she could order that the belt could change hands via DQ then just attack Ziggler with a chair. Now, I haven't read the spoilers, and I don't want any spoiling, so I'll see what happens at Smackdown this week when I see it. However, I think it's getting a little silly, and while it's making Ziggler burn up with heat, he's hardly selling to me. Something about a guy losing 5 times in a row to the champion just spoils the idea of them being a contender to me. Can't imagine why...

Anyway, it's hardly a thread without a question, so...

Do you think this storyline is getting a little bit silly?
If so, do you agree with what I said or something else tick you off?
If no, what is it about the storyline that you think makes for good tv and good feud progress?

Gee, thanks for suspending our disbelief. Does Mr. McMahon not ring a bell? He was the owner of WWF yet he had to pull out ridiculous stunts to take the title away from Steve Austin instead of just stripping him of it. No, it doesn't tick me off, because the idea is to be mad at her for abusing her power. It's supposed to look rather silly because even though she's the highest authority, she still want's Ziggler to win it "fairly" in order to embarrass Edge. Which is the focal point of the feud. The embarrassments that constantly lead to to them failing and forcing them to raise the stakes within their rules.

It's a great way to push Ziggler simply because it's not a regular 1 on 1 circumstance while also establishing him as a top heel and developing his mic work.

The stiplations imposed by Vickie Guerrero are designed to generate heat for both herself and Dolph Ziggler. These sorts of tactics are why Vickie Guerrero, coupled with the way she portrays herself on television, are why she garners more heat than any heel in wrestling right now.

You'll often see situations pop up like this inw hich you have a heel authority figure in charge with a grudge against a certain wrestler, for whatever reason. It's been used a lot and will continue to be used because it's a classic. The reason why it's a classic is that it always works, as is the reason why you'll see something like this pop up every once in a while. You're supposed to be "mad" at Vickie for her abuse of power and you're supposed to be "mad" at Ziggler for the going along with such dishonorable tactics to win a championship.

Jack-Hammer is right. There's an old saying that "Any publicity is good publicity." Take into account that she calls all these crazy rules, she's the special ref, Edge can't do a spear, or all the girls have to wear granny panties, or all the guys have to sleep with her, its going to get a reaction from EVERY person in WWE Universe. No matter what show she is on, she gets a reaction, and that generates ratings in Vince's mind. Anywhere she goes, Raw, NXT, Smackdown she is pretty much boo'ed out of the arena. But she won't leave, creative loves it, and on the opposite end of the spectrum, the same could be said for the hero Edge or Cena when you match her up against one of them, the roar is so deafening, its impossible to ignore the reactions generated by anyone, good or bad. WWE creative would be worried if it was a silent arena, that is when you need to be worried.

Even I am sick of Vickie to be quite honest, but, if I was getting paid based on storylines, and my career depended on a good, solid feud, I'd most certainly be wanting to keep her around for the safety of my career. She is creative gold!! Even if she ends it with Dolph, or vice versa, its going to be a career boost, attention boost whoever she may latch on to next.

The stipulations are to gain heat for Ziggler and Vickie and to give fans the idea that Ziggler could win because I don't see people continuing to be focused and enjoying this feud if they know that Ziggler will keep losing over and over again and with these stips it makes people sit back and think oh shit, Ziggler might actually beat Edge.. obviously he wouldn't put it keeps people's attention
