Porn is okay here long as it ain't dudes.
In the world of the corrupted media we call online news, many directors have "stepped up" and have been speculated to direct perhaps Stephen King's greatest work of all time. From J.J. Abrahms to Ron Howard, it is still up in the air on who will be able to bring this epic dark fantasy to the big screen:

Less than a month ago they were certain it would be Abrahms doing the movie. That's why I still feel it is very uncertain still.

Some are saying it will be a mini-series much like The Stand was before it. Some claim it will be a regular television program like Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was. Others think the first book will be adapted as a movie and the rest will be a mini-series. A good many are calling for all the books to be turned into movies a la the Harry Potter series.

The Up2You Question is going to be cut down to 3 questions:

1. Who would YOU want to see directing the movie/series?
2. How would YOU want the books to be converted to the big screen? (7 movies, a tv show, a mini-series, etc.)
3. Who would YOU want to be casted in the major roles of Roland, Flagg, and the rest?

It is a premature thought I know, but since they haven't even really set the director as a permanent go-to, I thought it was interesting to speculate on. If you know anything about The Dark Tower Series you will know that this is arguably Stephen King's best work that has not been given screen time yet. So I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

It's all up to you.

I've never been that big of a fan of Stephen King. I don't think he's a particularly good writer, even if he thinks he's amazing.

That being said, I do enjoy Frank Darabont's Stephen King adaptations. He's done three of them so far, and they've been, at worst, a good way to kill two and a half hours or so. Given that Darabont was able to make The Green Mile into a three-hour film, I think he'd be able to do the same with The Dark Tower.
