Unscripted '12: Mentorship Final - Isabel Stone vs. Krypto Discussion

Showtime

It's Showtime!
Isabel Stone vs. Krypto

Many months ago we began with eight promising young wrestlers. Sadly as we enter the final two, only three are still contracted with WZCW, but the two that have made it this far have shown that they have potential to be great in this business. Isabel Stone may just go down as the next great female wrestler in this company, but despite her strides she still has a lot to do and a lot to overcome regarding this match. Has kicking the most influential mentor of this competition to the curb been a wise move? Is she ready to do this one her own? On the other end of the ring, if his actual age could be determined, Krypto could easily fit the description of an abused child by his mentors. Still the tag team champions have somehow crafted this young creature into a fighter and have led him to the bright lights he dreamed of from where ever he came from. Can Krypto earn praise from his mentors and take one small step for alien kind?

Isabel is a phenomena; she all the potential in the world to become a success story but she is too busy with her own personal life and wanting to beat people up that she cannot defeat the easiest of opponents. She needs to focus if she wants to be remembered. Krypto is a rising star no matter how you cut it and I wouldn't be surprised if he took this competition by defeating Isabel. He might have a few screws loose and didn't have the best mentors but that kid can wrestle a good match. If Krypto loses this match following a victory over Kurtesy then I'd be disappointed.

Krypto all the way but if Isabel knuckles down, she's got this.

So would I. This match is probably the least anticipated on the card and it's kinda with good reason, I'm probably the only one who thinks I can win this match. We'll see what happens, interested to know what the winner gets.

Bullshit. You have every chance of winning. I'm finding this really close to call actually; Izzy has been incredibly (almost surprisingly) solid since debuting, but to say you have improved tremendously is an understatement. I genuinely didn't think you'd last this long with this gimmick, but the fact that you've managed to take it this far and be in with more than a legit shout of winning is every credit to you.

Either deserve to win this. Definitely the stand-outs from the beginning and the rightful finalists. I'm actually really looking forward to reading this match.

...nope, can't split it.

I'm split here. The Mentor program was a terrific idea, and through no fault of creative, it didn't turn out well. I still think that two of the best ended up in the finals.

Izzy has been surprisingly solid since her debut. No offense to her but after her horrid app in which she aligned with A_M, we had a laugh. Then she came in and started turning in quality RPs.

Dynamite really improved since his Joe West days. He definitely had some tough opponents along the road, but he never quit. I usually get a sneak peak of his RPs before everyone else, and through better or worse they are always something else. Krypto RPs are out there, very fitting for a man who is out of this world.

In the words of Randy Savage, the cream will rise to the top, and we should be in for a good match.

No Darren Bull.

Saxton and Saboteur are unsurprisingly the best thing to ever to happen to Krypto, and the guy finally actually feels like he could be an Alien, in fact, S.H.I.T might have to take issue as maybe Krypto could challenge it for the crown of "best wrestler who thinks they are something else"

Apparently Izzy is the favourite? News to me, Krypto is the run away favourite in my eyes. Obviously Isabel can win this, and she is interesting in her own right, but I think Krypto is getting the consistency she doesnt yet have. Regardless, both could have bright futures and I doubt the W/L will matter to either in the long run.

Whether Jessie has looked over some of Ech's work as Celeste or Dynamite has gotten pointers from reading RPs such as those of Miko, Coco or either of his mentors, I do not know but they have both come on leaps and bounds with what would have been considered difficult characters to firmly establish - a female and a comedy alien.

Isabel is well on the way to becoming a solid mid-card heel (with the added potential of a KC match with Celeste...) and Krypto could easily become the comedic character for the lower-mid card for the foreseeable future. Indeed, it is the conflict of characters which makes this interesting - the serious Isabel and the silly Krypto. The mentor programme might just be the first of many battles between these two.

As for who I think should win, normally I would be in favour of a heel being the "first ever" anything as it gives them something to brag about but in the end I do not think that it will overly matter who wins.

You want to know why this thing worked? Go read Dynamite's RP he just posted up, then go and read his first RP as Krypto against me. Hell, go read his RP's as Joe West. Go back and look in the discussion thread when we all gave Jessie shit for saying her alignment was Awesome_Miz, and then read our shock when she had a damn solid RP.

That's why this thing worked. For every Joe Mason, there's a Krypto. For every Arashi, there's an Izzy Stone. This thing worked because now we have two really fucking good rookies, that if they want to stick to it, can be great for a long time.

Kudos to creative for taking a shot with these guys. I think they made us all proud.

I like Izzy Stones, I really do. However, Krypto's RP was better in my eyes. There's not much more to say than that.

Prediction: Krypto wins NXTZCW
