Welcome to a new thread series that I hope will capture your imagination and hopefully lead to some more threads like this one being posted by you guys. These threads pit two characters of TV and Film against each other in a battle to the finish. It should be noted that thread makers are free to level the playing field however they like, However, I do ask that you try and keep it as fair as possible to generate more discussion. If Tony Soprano is going up against Mystique and Mystique has to be unconscious throughout the match, then you can see why that would be boring.
Still, this is the first thread and so many ideas are popping into my head about who should go first. Eventually, I decided on these two:
Bison is an accomplished general and has aspirations of ruling the entire world. His methods of pure evil only lend themselves to his cause. A dictator in his own right, Bison is the final boss in the Street Fighter Tournament and is an excellent fighter, excelling in hand-to-hand combat.
Bison's skill in combat is amongst the best anywhere and may only be surpassed by the power of his criminal mind and aspirations. He intends to hold the world hostage under his crime syndicate, ruling all world governments. His is the mind who comes up with Blanka, a supersoldier prototype intended to be the first in a long line of military personnel that Bison will use to control the world.
He has many vendettas but perhaps the biggest one is against Colonel Guile, who defeats him in the live action movie in question. However, not before he takes a beating from the General who's uniform lends itself to giving the General superpowers. Guile is an extremely dangerous opponent for any fighter. Dastardly, cruel and remorseless, Bison will not stop until he has defeated everyone in his way.
Raiden is the protector of the Earthrealm in Mortal Kombat and is a god amongst men. Taking mortal form, Raiden still controls a few abilities that lend themselves to helping Raiden vanquish everyone in his path. One of the biggest victories of Raiden's fighting career is Shnnok, a God that wished to rule the Earthrealm. Raiden and Shinnok crossed paths on multiple occasions with Raiden becoming the ultimate victor, causing Shinok to be outlawed to the Netherrealm
Nevertheless, Raiden has, on multiple occasions, given up his immortality for the good of the Earth-bound peoples. Perhaps this shows a lack of foresight by the God or passion for the inhabitants clouding his judgement. Nevertheless, Raiden has shown that his love of the people will lead him to extremes, even giving up everything to ensure their safety.
Raiden is an accomplished fighter and was one of the men who fought back Shang Tsung in the original 1995 movie, bringing warriors to defend the Earthrealm. He will do anything to ensure the safety of his people and any opponent should know that before taking him on
Rules:
- This is a fight to the death.
- Raiden is mortal in this match. He can die without regenerating in spirit form.
- Bison is allowed the superpowers he gains from his suit.
- Raiden is allowed to fly, shoot electricity but NOT teleport.
- No footsoldiers for the competitors are allowed. That includes Bison's military and Raiden's warriors of Earth.
