Hogan Matters!
Turning Point 2010

Pressing issue: Will Jeff Hardy continue to wear ridiculous face paint as a heel? This picture indicates otherwise.

2.jpg

If anyone cares, these guys are having another match. Oh, and someone will get fired. Preferably one of the EV2 has-beens.

3.jpg

Team 3D's last match. If they win, will it lead to yet another tournament for the belts?

7.jpg

RVD's been smoking waaayyy too much weed lately. He's trippin' out, and thinks EV2 is out to get him, ala Hardy.

8.jpg

Abyss has been taking out placed fans, not to mention he tried to murder Pope with Janice, no biggie.

6.jpg

JJ got a haircut and looks like a heel again. Oh, and he threw Joe off the stage a couple weeks ago. Naturally, Joe came up through the floor to attack JJ several weeks later.

4.jpg

No jokes here. Just a couple of big chested women duking it out.

Robbie E is out to single-handedly murder the X Division. He's doing a pretty good job so far.

GUESTS - I know you'll be lurking, so why not join? It's free.

I honestly do not think I could be less excited about a PPV if I tried. This whole show just screams not interesting to me, especially since even if EV's traitor is revealed tonight which would be the biggest deal I'd assume, nothing here comes off as interesting at all.

The card isn't much, really. It's a filler PPV, but Joe/Jarrett has me going. But as far as PPV's go, I don't expect much until Lockdown.

I think it's kind of telling when your main event involves two guys that have had basically no interaction. Except, you know, when they were on the same team 4 weeks ago. That's pretty telling, and this PPV doesn't have a whole lot of hype. Filler is the perfect word for it.

The thing that annoys me the most about TNA is the fact that they have Main Event quality match-ups, filling the middle of their card.

Samoa Joe v. Jeff Jarrett is a big type of Main Event match. Meanwhile, Hardy v. Morgan has more of a filler type grudge feel to it.

I'm kinda saddened that Sting & Nash aren't involved. I hope they'll make an appearance.

As for the Tag match, I still don't think this is Team 3Ds last match. I can't firmly believe they'll win the straps, just to retire and force another tournament or random slap-together match to recrown Champions. So, either the Gunns win and get the "torch", or the Dudz reclaim and refuse to retire.

Fortune v. EV2.0 is just hoping to draw attention at this point. This is the problem with the Company, when most of your talent is wrapped up in a faction war.

James v. Tara is nothing more than a "Welcome to TNA, here's your first ppv victory" match. I'm more interested in seeing "Katie/Winter" and Angelina's story continue. I'm quite enjoying that one.

Fuck the RVD/Dreamer match. You have a great talent in RVD, and you put him in a match-up against Dreamer, in what can only be considered the "revealing of the turncoat". This match has no appeal.

Abyss and Pope are a huge mismatch, and adding 'fans' around the ring to feed to Abyss makes this nothing more than a fluff ending.

Finally, I get that Lethal is a hit or miss type of Wrestler anymore. One minute he's spotlighted as a great contender - the next he's barely getting tv time. But if they push this Robbie guy as a Champion, I think they'll continue losing any hope for the X-Division title to mean anything. Robbie E. seems to me like a Santino style of worker - someone who's meant to be a joke, and not taken seriously.

Look on the bright side: At least the World Champion is going to get serious screen time tonight.

In the review I put that it's so obvious that Hardy retains tonight that it's very possible Morgan will get the title.

If Hardy drops the title to Morgan, how much stock would fall in taking Hardy seriously as a Heavyweight contender?

Nothing against Morgan, he's come a very long way from the shit he was in WWE. But Hardy was practically named the top guy in a combined effort of Flair and Hogan, so to have him drop the title in less than a month from hand picking him to be the so-called "antichrist" would be huge to take him seriously ever again.

At the very least, I expect a clusterfuck to end the Main Event.

Morgan looks strong, coming close to winning, only for Fortune to interfere - which leads to EV2.0 to bring in the counter - which leads to Abyss - which leads to Pope - which leads to Jarrett - which leads to Joe - which leads to Sting/Nash - which leads to some fan thats debuting - which leads to Angle - which leads to the show ending with everyone brawling.

On a semi-related note, it only too four weeks for the big post BFG rating to come back down to what TNA had been getting for months. I didn't think they'd make it that long.

ANOTHER ME IS WHAT THERE WILL NEVER BE

ANOTHER NIGHT LIKE THIS YOU WILL NEVER SEE

Cookie has hair spray; I'm calling it now - Robbie E. = new X-Division Champion, after Cookie sprays Lethal in the eyes with hair spray. :disappointed:
