It's the biggest wrestling event since Wrestlemania. Triplemania XXIII comes to us live not just via iPPV but also via traditional format as well. The product has been white hot utilizing the inception Lucha Underground to bolster it's roster as well as get their name out on the US market. Not to mention the legends that stumbled their way courtesy of WWE.
Dream Match
Myzteziz vs Rey Mysterio Jr.
A match the WWE once planned with the objective of breaking a world record for wearing the most masks, it's happening in front of their countrymen. Signed with the intention of being the exhibition of all exhibitions, the two teamed up at Rey De Reyes when Rey Mysterio returned and again at Verano De Escandalo. In the 90's Rey was the figure that defined Lucha Libre. In the 2000's, it was Myzteziz. Now both men stand facing each other ready to show which of the two is the true top high flier.
Hair vs Hair
Brian Cage vs AAA Megachampion Alberto El Patron*
At Rey De Reyes, Brian Cage was to go one on one with El Patron but tragedy delayed the match. However, when the match finally happened on an episode of Sin Limite, Brian upset Alberto and rammed the champion through a table. What followed was a series of 3 more matches. Alberto barely would retain, but Brian would come back and still overpower the Megachampion in non-title matches. Eventually draping Alberto with a U.S. flag at Verano De Escandalo. Alberto had enough. It was time for a definite ending. Brian is unable to challenge for the title anymore but he can damn sure leave a lasting scar on Alberto by leaving the Mexican Hero bald. To this day, Cibernetico and Texano Jr. have not recovered from their own Hair vs Hair losses at Triplemania's 21 & 22. Meaning the stakes are still very high, title or not.
30 Years Seeing Blue
Blue Demon Jr. & La Parka vs El Mesias & Electroshock
Last year at Triplemania 22, these four men were involved in a Dome Of Death match where Electroshock lost his hair to El Mesias. Since then, Electro grew depressed with AAA believing he was passed over and eventually created a faction dubbed "The Holocaust" to fight back. Meanwhile, Mesias was told a startling fact by Konnan. With the arrivals of Myzteziz, Rey Mysterio and Alberto El Patron as well as the rise of Texano Jr., Psycho Clown and other wrestlers, he has lost his status as the flag bearer of AAA. Mesias did not take that revelation well. He took his aggression out on who he viewed as Sympathizers to AAA management. Blue Demon Jr. and La Parka. The two legends decided to band together to fight back. And Electroshock joined the fray also angry at his spot in AAA. Now Blue Demon has to team up on his 30th anniversary with La Parka to take on their fellow veterans.
Can the two heroes stop their disillusioned counterparts? Or will Mesias and Electroshock get rid of the two suck ups and make their way back to the top?
Goodbye to Villano III
The Psycho Circus vs Villano's III, IV & V
The leader of The Psycho Circus is a member of the Alvarado wrestling family. A family of nearly 20 wrestlers. Of course, the Villano's belong to the Casas family. Both families have been rivals for generations. When Psycho Clown's sister Goya Kong debuted in AAA, the Villano's were quick to grow concern as their age is getting to them while the younger Alvarados are now taking over. Now they look to prove that despite their age, they're still the dominant super family in AAA. But sadly, not all of them will walk out for better status. This is Villano III's final match. And he and his brothers look to make one last major family statement together.
Can the former Trios Champions rally the win over their wiser adversaries? Or can the legendary family stand tall on their last night as a Trio?
3-Way Trios Match for the AAA World Trios Championship
The Hell Brothers (Cibernetico, Averno and Latinamerican Champion Chessman)
vs
The Sky Blondes (Jack Evans & Angelico) & Fenix
vs
2015 Rey De Reyes Texano Jr., World Cruiserweight Champion Hijo Del Fantasma & World Tag Team and Mixed Tag Team Champion Pentagon Jr.
It's a massive collection of accolades. As a grand total of 6 different AAA accolades are involved in this match. The Hell Brothers reformed in order to stand up to the corporate order of both AAA management and perpetual heel takeover faction "La Sociedad". Fenix, Angelico and Jack Evans stand up in favor of AAA as predominant babyfaces while Texano, Pentago and Fantasma stand up in favor of Konnan's society that has attempted for over 10 years to take AAA. This massive collision could bring one side to it's knees.
Atomic Tag Team Match of Insanity
Daga, Mamba, Mini-Psycho Clown & Mixed Tag Team Champion Sexy Star
vs
Drago, Dinastia, Pimpinela Escarlata & Goya Kong
It's the signature opening match of AAA. A Cruiserweight, a Mini, a female and an "exotico" (crossdresser) all team up in a 4 on 4 match of all sorts of high spots, comedy spots, creepy spots and all around fun to get the action started.
Also the induction of Perro Aguayo Jr. and Hector Garza into the AAA Hall Of Fame.
