Tournaments

Would it be a good idea for UFC to bring back the tournament formula? Not every month obviously, but every 6 months or so it could be a refreshing change. I think they stopped doing them at UFC 5 or 6. But the first couple were entertaining. The problem being that sometimes they get injured, and you'll end up with somebody winning the whole thing after only one fight, just like number 3.

Eh... tournaments are way too risky. Hell, the Ultimate Fighter show is risky and they have days in-between fights on the show.

But yeah... not a good idea, in my opinion. A lot of UFC shows got ruined back in the day because advancers had to withdraw from their next round fights due to injury.

However, I'll say this much, it wouldn't be a bad idea for WEC. It would make some one unknown instantly credible, if they were to win the whole thing. But with big stars? I just don't see that ever happening, nor do I think it should.
