Total Extreme Warfare - the EWR update

Excellence of Execution
It's the updated game of EWR. And by updated, I mean, it's similar in premise only. It's much deeper, and allows you much more control over your promotion. It's very fun.

Anyways, I'm writing this to inform anyone who might not already be aware...Total Extreme Warfare 2005 is now freeware. This means you can now download the full game (not just the demo) and play for free, no more paying for the game. Obviously, they are doing this so you'll get hooked on the game, and want to buy the latest version of TEW, but TEW 2005 is awesome. If you've ever enjoyed EWR, you should give this game a try.

One thing to note: When you first download the game, all the wrestlers, workers, and promotions are fake. They have to be since the game was not originally freeware. However, there are plenty of mods out there to update the rosters. I'm currently playing a 2006 mod (Fall of the One Ring Circus), when RVD was WWE Champion.

Thanks Slyfox!

I love EWR, It's a great little sim, And its very easy to use. With TEW being made by the same guy, I'm guessing it's just as easy, But with alot more options to use, And customise your roster, And promotion as a whole.

If you would mind, Could you list some of the feature in TEW, That are not in EWR?

I would say it's probably just as easy, but a lot more in-depth.

It has advanced booking and storylines, so you have to build to your PPV cards, with good builds getting better ratings.

More in-depth statistic and worker ratings.

Revamped staff management

Booking cards is much different. Now you book every aspect of the card, including who referees, who the road agent is that plans the match, and how long each match and angle will run.

There are others, but those are enough goodies to make it worth downloading.

The only problem I have with it is the "not using real life wrestlers". I've played it and I agree that it is a better system than the solely text based EWR, which I first heard about in a post by you Slyfox. But the main reason I played the games and GM mode in SvR games was that it used real wrestlers. Funny what a simple name can do right?

In EWR you don't see them wrestle, and it has the same effect if theyre called Chris Jericho or Jericho Chris, but I just enjoy it more with real wrestlers. Still worth a download if you're a fan of the series, because of the recently free-ware release aformentioned.

Have you not downloaded the rosters? In my first post, I send you to a link where you can update the rosters to include real people. I know they were working on a 2009 roster, not sure if it's been completed yet.

Yes I downloaded it, but I'll just have to wait around for the 2009 update. A funny thing with EWr is that many of the updates caused my game to randomly crash. hope this doesnt happen with TEW

Out of curiosity, why must you wait for the 2009 update? I mean, the one I use is a 2006 update, and it's fun, and the 80's style update looks really good. What's wrong with those?

What can I say? I love Dolph Ziggler.

No, Im currently using the 2006 update currently. And obviously its still possible to get CM Punk even if it still is 2003 in the original EWR. But then its just a bit harder to get them over with the crowd freshly picked from ROH. i havent yet tried the 80's update yet, but I'm sure it will be interesting, especially without hopefully a career ending car crash for Magnum T.A.

First off, I'm an idiot for this.

I somehow managed to overwrite my default data on TEW 2008. It's complety gone from my computer and I don't have my e-license number. Does anybody know what I can do to get it back?

Hey guys,

I just recently downloaded EWR and was wondering if anyone who is familiar with the game could give me some insight on how it works. It is very VERY complicated so i hoped someone could give me some pointers or give general info on the game. Thanks much.
