In a first for Chris Jericho, he is scheduled to headline his first mayor NJPW show when he defends his IWGP Intercontinental Championship against EVIL at Power Struggle. The match was announced following Jericho's attack on the LIJ member prior to his match against Zack Sabre Jr, causing EVIL to forfeit the match. The feud between the two started at Dominion when EVIL saved Tetsuya Naito from a post-match beatdown by Jericho and was followed up on King Of Pro Wrestling. The two will now face off after Jericho's long awaited cruise.
Another mayor match announced was Will Ospreay challenging NEVER Openweight Champion Taichi in a rare Jr Heavyweight vs Heavyweight match which is supposed to be the main rule of the Openweight title. However Ospreay has been looking to move up to Heavyweight the past few months. This match would be his proving ground.
Following mayor shifts in alliance, Jay White has joined the Bullet Club OGs along with Jado and Gedo. White will join forces with original Bullet Club enforcer Bad Luck Fale to face his long standing foe Kazuchika Okada and CHAOS partner Trent Baretta.
In another big tag team match, The Golden Lovers reunite to face G-1 Climax winner Hiroshi Tanahashi and partner David Finlay Jr as the build towards Kenny Omega vs Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 13 officially begins. We'll also see the finals of the Super Jrs Tag League taking place and more.
