Top 25 In Post Count

But Dagger, this might be the 5th or 6th time I've seen you remind the world of your short-stinted posting streak. No offense, but honestly... no one cares.

None taken at all. I'll try harder to not bring it up again for a while.

Ok, cool.

Let's put it this way... back when I started on this site, getting green rep was much easier to obtain. However, while it was still quite difficult to accumulate, I was able to gain a full bar of green rep prior to my 100th post from the creation of only four seperate threads. There might have been a large handful of guys that had ever done that before.

Since I was told by someone that it was a great accomplishment, I took that inch and ran 60 miles with it. I would constantly remind people of the accomplishment and the threads I wrote that put me over the top. It obviously began to rub people the wrong way, so they let me know about it. I rarely speak of it anymore.

Basically, when you make an accomplishment, you should allow OTHERS to point it out. If they don't, there is no need to remind them. If you wish to get another pat on the back for something, then make a similar feat and allow them to praise you all over again. Every day on this site should be a new adventure.

The most repected posters are the ones that keep discovering fresh ways to "wow" everyone. Guys like IC25 (for his thread and tournament ideas), jmt225 (for his tons of contributions in the MMA section; a previously dead section until he signed on), and a bunch of others are respected because of this.

Just like in real life, begging for a pat on the mat and some attention is a surefire path to being annoyong as fuck. Just look at the majority of the bar room posters, if you want to see what I'm talking about.

That happened because you've been a member since 2007 and only have around 100 posts. I did 800 posts in 50 days, but my post per day ratio is only 2.3 because I have approximately 1,200 while having been a member since 2008. It's calculated by dividing your total non-spam posts by the number of days you've been a member here.

I am actually somewhat proud of how low my daily count is (0.18) mainly because I only post in non-spam sections when I actually have something to say rather than feeling the need to be active in threads I have no interest in

I may go on a posting spree myself this weekend. Granted for me a spree is three posts :D Always helped by the fact the 6 Nations will be on :)
