Last night in Finland, former WWF wrestler Ludvig Borga, real name Tony Halme, 47, was reported dead.

Thus far foul play has been ruled out by the local police force. They are not revealing the time or cause of death so far. According to an online tabloid, Borga died in his home.

In his two years with the WWF, in the early 90's, Borga had quick success. He ended Tatanka's two-year undefeated streak. He would go on to main event at Survivor Series 1993 where he was the final member on his team. Borga would fall to Lex Luger, though.

Borga nearly won the Intercontinental Championship from Razor Ramon having defeated Ramon at a house show but the decision was reversed.

Borga also wrestled for Universal Wrestling Federation, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and Catch Wrestling Association.

Outside of wrestling, Borga was a boxer and ventured into MMA. He sang and acted, including having a small part in Die Hard: With a Vengeance.

After wrestling, he became involved in politics and served one term as a Member of Parliament in Finland where he was extremely outspoken.

In 2003, he was hospitalized following an incident in which he fired a pistol in his apartment, apparently while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. He received a suspended prison sentence and a fine.

October 2009, he was arrested for driving under the influence of illegal drugs. Charges were still pending when he died.

I remember him when I was young, he was an ok big man wrestler. Its sad to hear hes passed on. RIP
