When it's all said and done where will TNA stand in the history books? While some TNA fans would like to argue that TNA will be remembered as something good, innovated, and successful, do you believe this?

Would anyone be surprise if TNA ended up like the Orginal ECW, a bankrupt, joke in the pro wrestling industry, a shit stain on the wrestling world? Remember and loved by the fans, but in the general community seen as a complete failure?

Or do you think TNA has done enough to cement it's place in wrestling history. The X-Division, AJ Styles, the knockouts have all made TNA a legacy worth remembering? Or do you think TNA is just getting started and it's legacy will be shapped down the line?

Basically in the scheme of things where do you see TNA's place in the history books? Successful like the WWE, Successful, but died like WCW, or the "laughing stock" of the wrestling industry like "ECW"?

If you have an unbiased view, then you can deeply appreciate what TNA has accomplished. I mean, these guys started off with shit $10 pay-per-views in some hideous redneck town. And not only that, but their first pay-per-view ended with a has been winning the NWA Championship, only to never defend it afterwards. Seriously, could TNA has gotten off to a worse start? No, but nevertheless, today, seven years later... they're the second biggest wrestling company in the World. Because of their X Division, it kept them alive for their first couple of pay-per-views (seriously, for all you idiots that shit on the X Division and say crap like "No one cares about them, blah blah blah," TNA survived their very early years with word of mouth how great their X Division matches were). And off that, they were able to get more well-known names, and develop a hardcore fan base, that would eventually help elevate the company to where it's at today. And that fans base continues to grow and grow each month.

The fact is... TNA isn't going anywhere any time soon, but even if TNA were to close tomorrow, it anyone thinks all they did was leave a shit stain on the business, then it just shows their ignorance, because even if they do close sometime soon... for seven years, they were a true alternative to WWE, and that's what their legacy is going to be, if they do go out of business anytime soon (which, again, I don't see happening).

Moreover, I truly believe "death" would make TNA more loved than ever, honestly. Just look at Michael Jackson. Now, TNA is nowhere near as good of a wrestling company as MJ was a singer/dancer/performer, but the fact of the matter is that Michael Jackson was looked at as nothing but a joke for the last 15 years of his life, basically, and as soon as he died, he went back to being the King of Pop and everybody realized just how great he was. And if TNA were to die, I truly believe most people would come to the realization of how nice it is to have a free alternative to WWE. They wouldn't point their fingers and laugh, but actually miss the company, even if they shit on it right now.

Well about an hour ago I would have agreed with this but perception starts from the top down and after reading the wrestlezone article that basically said that Dixie Carter is sabatoging the company by getting rid of all Jeff Jarrett supporters no matter how talented they are so she can try to put him in a position that he will sell his interest of TNA to her and Panda Energy I can't say that they would be more of a shit stain. You see if Jeff holds fast he will always have a steady income as 28% owner and if TNA gets so bad because of Dixie Carter's greed then Panda would sell then he could buy it back at full. Though I would still watch the product at the moment and enjoy it this article has really lost Carter and TNA a volcano full of respect in my mind.

When I think TNA, I think of WWE being it's superior. I don't think TNA will ever get anywhere as popular as WWE now.

The reason ECW was a shit stain was because of it's hardcore style created so much controversy and lawsuits. TNA will not be remembered as ECW because it's not as popular and crazy.

I think it might be like WCW because WWE could buy it right when it becomes popular. Than again, competition brings out the best in Vince.

So my answer is WCW. :)

To be honest at this point that might not be a bad idea if Vince bought the Panda Oil's shares of TNA because Dixie Carter is going to screw it over in the end and I would like to see Jeff Jarrett be forced to work with Vince McMahon. I mean, I know it would never happen but the two concepts coming together to create one for just the IMPACT Brand as it would be known would be pretty cool.

Name one TNA feud that will go down in history like Flair-Steamboat, Hart-Michaels, Rock-Stone Cold that would make people still talk in ten or so years. If you legitimately can, Then MAYBE people will remember TNA for something other than crap.

I think that TNA will be remembered as something that was successful and different from the WWE. Sure the is a lot of criticism on here of TNA, but it's the internet, that's how it works. Everything gets criticized on here, from the WWE to music to video games. The fact of the matter is, TNA is the second biggest wrestling company on the planet and they have only been around for 7 years. They have given wrestlers such as AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Hernandez, Homicide, Abyss, and Christopher Daniels that wouldn't have received mainstream popularity if it wasn't for TNA.

TNA has given us something different from the WWE, the X-Division, a relevant tag team and women's division, and some new exciting wrestlers. I don't think TNA will be remembered along side any other previous wrestling company, they will leave a unique legacy that is their own. It's not like they are going to fold in the near future, I expect TNA to be around for the long haul.

I strongly think TNA has had some good feuds that won't be remembered as crap. Angle/Samoa Joe was crap? or AJ Styles/Matt Morgan crap? how bout Team 3D and Beer Money? How about Sting/Jarrett Sting/Angle or Sting/Joe?? I'ts not Flair/Steamboat or Austin/Rock but neither is anything in WWE right now. We probably won't see feuds like that ever again. I believe TNA will be around longer then most failed promotions. I believe it's good anytime you have competition, what's American Idol without America's Got Talent. What's Coke without Pepsi? One may be the number one brand but a lot of people like variety. For only being 7 years old TNA has surprised all of us and has improved leaps and bounds. Did anyone expect TNA to be this big 7 years ago? and if you think TNA should be as big as WWE is right now you're insane. WWE has been around over 70 years as WWWF, then as WWF in 1983 when Vince was owner. It took Vince about 20 years and a shitload of money to buy out the other companies and create WWE. Why should TNA be treated the same with only 7 years of existence? If TNA ever does call it quits I think it will be remembered as a great show that was under appreciated and underrated. Just like Family Guy was on Fox when they cut if off the air.

great company imagine its still 1990 and all thesse guys were in there prime! oh wait a minute they already did that in wwe lol! no disrecpet to aj and joe, dudleys, beer money and angle but they ARE wrestling grandpa's

Really? AJ, Joe, James Storm and Robert Roode are wrestlings grandpas? They are aged 31, 30, 32 and 32 respectively. Batista is a legit grandfather. Come on at least understand what you are saying.

As for TNA, it doesn't have a legacy. Neither did WWE at 7 years...or the NFL...or the NBA...or MLB. The point here is that it takes time and longevity. Of course if TNA ended today it would be remembered at a company with potential that didn't make it. Today it would only be a memory of a good shot, a legacy will take time. I think that TNA is growing and will continue to grow. If it turns into legit competition, it would be good for WWE, TNA and the fans.

Also, calling it a "shit stain" makes you a rude moron.

When, not if, when TNA hit's the 10 year mark to 2012, then we'll see what TNA's legacy is. But for now, TNA is simply the second best wrestling promotion in America. Considering TNA isn't even ten years old and already is where it is, I'd say as a promotion it's the most impressive we've seen this decade.

TNA has their own style, divisions, matches, wrestlers, and even their own ring! They bring what WWE fails to do: Interesting gimmicks (Foley's gimmick is epic), a talented Knockout's division, A succesful daredevil (A mix of Hardcore and high flying) division with it's own name!

TNA's legacy is that of a unique, fast-rising promotion that will be remembered for all of the above.

If TNA went belly up in the near future, it would hold a dear place in the hearts of some wrestling fans much as the old ECW does.

TNA came out of nowhere and became the #2 wrestling company in the United States and it took some time and hard work to accomplish that much. But, if it did go under, then I see lots of what I see with the old ECW: namely a lot of overly exaggerated hype about how great the promotion was. You'll hear something along the lines of how certain angles changed the face of pro wrestling or how certain wrestlers were just absolute fucking gods and could blow any guy the WWE had out of the water and so on and so forth.

Would I call TNA a shit stain on wrestling history if it went under today? Not at all. I think that TNA has some things to be proud of. It would also receive a lot of adulation retroactively just as the old ECW has done by others in years to come.
