What does everyone think? Should TNA have women wrestling like wwe does?

TNA does not probably have the right time to pull off a women's division nogard. Dixie Carter does'nt want a eye-candy based bikini contest, or a sloppy women's wrestling show.

Right now there's only five Knockouts (counting So Cal Val), but of them, only Gail Kim and Traci have significant ability in the ring. I think it's unfortunate that most of them don't get much face time aside from Christy Hemme, but WWE takes it to the other extreme, featuring the Divas/Vixens too frequently on their programming.

Well WWE will hire 20 hot chicks and fire 23 within 6 months

If you want to watch women wrestle download it the WOW women are real wrestlers most (dispite muscle mass being different) could give most males a good run

Women's wrestling is not just about bikini contests and eye candy. Recently, a new promotion that's sort of like ROH for women's wrestling was started up called Shimmer that's ran by Dave Prazak who runs Full Impact Pro in Florida and does commentary for ROH. They've only ran a few shows so far, but there's a LOT of independant women talent out there that can actually wrestle and aren't suppossed to just look great.

If TNA had a women's division, I could see the likes of Nattie Neidhart, Sara Del Ray, Cheerleader Melissa, Mercedes Martinez, Allison Danger, MsChef, Amber O'Neal, Lacey and Rain "The Minnesota Homewrecking Crew", Ariel, Rebecca Knox, etc...

The WWE will not sign any of those divas (well, maybe Nattie Neidhart, but only because of who her family is), they will hire all eight contestants from the Diva Search and fire them all before Wrestlemania.

TNA is all about wrestling, eye candy is not wrestling, maybe if they brought Chyna.. but then they'd even need competition for her. TNA shouldn't ruin itself with this stuff with titles.

I think a womans X Division would be great for TNA, won't happen I don't think TNA management is really all that interested in a womans division.

Why are women's wrestlers automatically refered to as divas these days? Diva is an extremely stupid title. Why not call women who wrestle for what they actually are? That being wrestlers.

And there really is a market out there for women actually wrestling and not just shaking their asses.

That's the thing. Aside from AJ Styles / Christopher Daniels's enforcer in TNA and Beth Phoenix on WWE Raw, most of these women are above-average looking and are known primarily for their appearance rather than their abilities in the ring (Candice Michelle and Torrie Wilson come to mind immediately), with a couple of exceptions. And that reinforces the "diva" stereotype that a lot of female wrestling personalities are unfortunately saddled with.

No, I didn't mean the "divas" in WWE and TNA. There is female professional wrestling on the independant circuit that is actual technical wrestling. Japan's also always had great technical female wrestling.

I highly recommend seeking out the SHIMMER: Women Of Wrestling dvds that have came out recently. It's pretty much known as the ROH of female wrestling.

I'd link you to their web site, but I'm not entirely sure if its cool or not, so I won't.

Edit: The "Neutralizer" that's with Styles and Daniels isn't really all that technically sound. They just wanted someone that towers over Gail Kim and she happens to know Scott D'Amore.

WOW sucks, if you want to watch real womens wrestling you need to see Shimmer. Not considering of course Joshi wrestling in Japan. If you want to see American Womens wrestling, its Shimmer.
