TNA has signed Reid Flair (Ric Flair's son)

TNA FIRE ORLANDO JORDAN HE SUCKS
Ric Flair confirmed that his son Reid has signed with TNA. I don't know anything about the guy besides how he looks so I can't really give an opinion on it. I just wanna see what you guys think, yah or nah?

I think it is a very good thing but he is green and while he has a lot of time on his side, I would say that this is where TNA would benefit from a developmental territroy of some sort.

I don't think this would have happened if Flair wasn't with TNA and I hope that this association doesn't see him rushed onto television.

Reid was a wrestler growing up and as far as I know has always wanted to be a professional like his dad. remember seeing him when he was younger on TV in WCW as long as he trains and takes it serious things should work out great. just had better be better than David Flair was in WCW

But it will. Sad fact is TNA will say 'We have Ric Flair's son' and put him into a major fued even if he's not ready just to capitalise on the Flair name. He might be a success or not, if he's a success good for them, if he flounders TNA are going to look stupid for bringing in one of their employees children.

Well, looks like he was sign. I just hope he doesn't have a feud with his father anytime soon. Or any other main event staff of TNA for the time being. He just needs a mention he is Ric's son, and let him go from there.

I don't know how old he is, but if he is under 30, and has some good in the ring talent, then it might work out. As long as him and his Dad are rarely on screen together.

I seem to remember he & David getting involved in some angle back in WCW...I think he was putting some amateur wrestling moves on someone, Bichoff maybe? Anyway, if he's been wrestling his whole life, hopefully he's picked up some things from his dad & his dad's friends...we'll see if it translates into pro wrestling. I'm not a huge fan of Flair, but I respect his talents, and I am certainly rooting for Reid to succeed.

Not a really big deal, look for him to either get the Ric Flair push and have Ric show Reid " The Ropes " around TNA Wrestling, it was only a matter of time 'till he went to TNA, I mean come on Ric was there, of coarse he was gonna bargain for his son to be signed.

Not that big of a deal, in my opinion.

It's far too early to decide as to whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. On the surface, it'd be very easy to say that he was signed only because of his old man instead of his own merits. And, of course, it's possible that's exactly how it will turn out to be.

I expect Flair to be taken off of television before too long because, as with Mick Foley, Flair will have used up the number of dates he's been contracted to work via his current deal with TNA. So, before long, I expect Flair to be taken off of tv for several months and be brought back with his son Reid in tow to finish up the year.

I really hope they produce him as the next kurt angle. He was never in the olympics, but dont know if anyone knows this, but has followed olympic style wrestling since he was a young child, and is very talented at it. So i have a feeling they will play off of his ability to wrestle and will end up being a very technical, kurt angle like, wrestler, compared to another muscle head or high flyer. In my opinon, the next randy orton, just mark my words, if he follows through with it, and doesnt turn out like his older brother.

I don't think we can consider this move a good thing or a bad thing just yet. It's far too early to start judging this signing. Reid will probably debut as a heel, and his father will help guide him. I can't imagine Reid debuting as a face because that would eventually lead to a match between him and his dad, and I don't think too many people would be excited about watching that one. I just hope TNA doesn't push Reid so hard early on. Give him some time to break through, and accomplish some stuff first.

The only thing i can seem to see about Reid Flair is that he was trained by his Dad, Harley Race and George South. That he's one an NWA belt before (cant rember which one) and that he has had 2 DUI's and charged with having Heroin on him before. Other then that that's all i know.

Really? The next Randy Orton? Really? He is a kid being brought in because his dad is Ric Flair. No other reason. I am sure he may be quite the talented amateur wrestler but TNA doesn't need to bring in more people. Someone else said they need to work on a developmental company and I agree. If they had something like that going, then bringing this kid in would be a good thing. But since they don't have anything like that, and most of their talent is being misused currently or not getting any air time, bringing in ANY talent unless The Rock decides he wants to sign with TNA is a bad idea IMHO.

Noticing a lot of borderline spam posts in here. Make sure to give thoughts on Reid Flair's signing and reasoning why you think that way. Further spam posts will be infracted. This is your warning.
I think this could be an OK signing for TNA. Reid Flair was in FCW and I'm not 100 percent sure, but I thought he was released due to being pulled over for a DUI or having drugs on him. Don't quote me on it. Reid has a great amateur background. He won a state title about 10 years ago as a kid, plus he's got one of the better wrestlers of our time as a mentor and father, so it's possible that with more passion, Flair could become a good wrestler, possibly a star if he has the charisma to do so.

Well, all I can say is that if his training is up to snuff, than things should do okay as long as he keeps his head on straight. Another Flair in the industry could do well if he's anything like his pops was back in the day. Only time will tell.

ehhh, i'm not all that excited about it. i think he will be ok, but probably get pushed too soon like cody rhodes was.

they should have an angle where he starts off under the tutelage of his dad, have that build up for a couple months, and then start having pops complain that his son isn't doing it the "flair" way and have reid turn on his dad and become a face.

Would not surprise me if TNA runs an angle where Styles fails once too many in the Flair mould so Flair brings out "the only person other than the Nature Boy who can truly act like the Nature Boy WOOOOOOOO" - for those of you not paying attention I am referring to Reid Flair....
