This is one of the biggest political victories in this year's election

Also, fuck yeah for Washington and Colorado passing the measure to legalize marijuana! I'm very disappointed in Oregon, but the Portland liberals can't really speak for the state as a whole. There's still time left; who knows?

So to recap:

1) Romney lost
2) Two states legalized marijuana
3) Maine passed marriage equality
4) Romney lost

Quite the successful political season, I'd say. The biggest problem is still going to be the House, unfortunately.

Gay marriage was on four ballots this year: Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington. It was passed in Maine and Maryland, rejected in Minnesota, and it's currently winning in Washington.

Obama is a wash as both candidates suck unholy ass and Maryland is giving in state tuition to illegal immigrants (Nation of laws right?). Successful? No. Successful would have been in state tuition being struck down and both Obama and Romney losing to a 3rd party candidate.

Actually, Minnesota didn't vote to ban equality. The issue that was rejected was one that would strike marriage equality from their books. It is still (for want of a better term) accepted in Minnesota. Had the motion been approved, the state constitution would have been revised to a "One man, one woman" document.

In my best Jim Ross accent, "OBAMA WINS! OBAMA WINS! BY GOD OBAMA PULLED IT OFF!"

Shut up.

Obama is smoking a blunt right about now.

No.

Yeah, I realized this much later in the night. So it looks like the gays went 4/4 in this election, not to mention we got the first openly gay senator into congress.

Typical JGlass, agree with the chick.

Just reading about the Tammy Baldwin senate race and she was up against Tommy Thompson.

Do they not have more names in Wisconsin?
