The worst game you've ever bought...

gentlemen and gentlemen....i have 3 words of absolute disgust. ARMY...OF...TWO... i swear to goodness i hate that game and everything about it. terrible gameplay that obviously tried to use a gears of war type system and boy did it fail. unnecessary cursing in the dialogue. now im no square...i gotta potty mouth...but they would say fuck and shit and fuckin shit for no fuckin reason! lol and the kicker for me was when they showed a clip of 9/11 and it was supposed to have some kinda relevance to the story...gimme a f'n break. game sucks and EA lost me on that one.

The most recent shitfest of a game that I've bought is Infernal: Hell's Vengence for the 360.

The gameplay mechanics to this game were horrid. The graphics weren't great but the gameplay is what threw me off. I ran out of ammo within the first few minutes and to get more ammo I found that I had to actually look down at the ammo on the ground and press an action button, to which the character would physically kneel down and picks up the ammo, all while catching bullets to the head. Later on, you get magic to use, oh how fun that was to instill into the game and cause the shitfest to pile ever higher.

The very last thing that got me was the achievements, the fact that the complete the game on so and so difficulty achievements did not stack. Normally that wouldn't bother me at all, but after suffering through the first moments of the game, I couldn't bring myself to even complete the game a single time on hard let alone on easy.

I got maybe 5 dollars store credit when I turned it into Gamestop and to be honest, I probably would have let Gamestop have the game for free.

I'd have to say Mario Party...any version, for any console, anywhere in the world.

I understand that most people think it has redeeming, fun qualities to it...I really do. But I think I hate it so much because of the stupid audio and the ******ed games. Package those with endless hours of gameplay by my two friends on my console, and there is a legitimate excuse for mutilating a Nintendo 64, sacrilegious as that may be.

A very close runner-up would have to be Gran Turismo...again, any version, etc. You get in fucking cars.........and you drive them. Holy. Shit. There were no cool sound effects, no awesome visual effects to keep you interested (Burnout, anyone?), and you pretty much drive around in circles for about 99% of the gameplay. And, yes, a lot of the hatred for it springs from my friends' endless obsession with it. I'm sorry, I just don't like being forced to play, watch, or simply be around games that are absolute shit.

that game just sucked you could only move side to side not up or down
So, because it was 2D, it sucked? I bet if you played Super Mario Bros. 3 you'd say it sucked, too.

and the Gameplay confusing as CRAP
I will say it took some getting used to.

you had to fight your butt of
They're called "beat-em-ups" for a reason, smarty.

and if u waster to much energy you Turn from a Super Hero TO A NORMAL PERSON
Oh, so you'd rather have unlimited VFX and make the game incredibly easy? You know, there's this little thing called strategy that you have to utilize so that doesn't happen.

AND ITS like that for a good 5 minutes
More like five seconds.

ad another thing is they rated on how you did and I Always got C for Crap
Could it possibly be because you sucked? Also, don't take the ratings system too seriously. I mean, a B was "Baaaaad". It's just a joke, dude, lighten up.

but i have to Rate that game S for S***
Well, aren't you clever. My sides are splitting from mirth. This is totally hilarious. And what the F*** is with the censoring? Unnecessary.

marvl uitment allcie for psp the controlls are so DEAD hard that its impossaple for me and its boreing

I'm not surprised really.

However, I do think that Marvel Ultimate Alliance was pretty crap. I got to play it briefly on the PSP and I have to say, that I found it to be really annoying. It was a little bit boring and the controls were shit. However, is is as to nothing compared to the shit-fest that was The Godfather II. I know that they tried to make it better by taking it out of the city for while and I know that they tried their best to make it more than a drive and shoot game but it didn't work. It was poorly made and story was a shambles compared to the actual movie. I was so disappointed for both the game, as a sequel compared to the very addictive first and as for the movie. The movie was fantastic and this game really failed to live up to it.

I would have to say Baldur's Gate for the PS2. The gameplay was actually very good, the puzzles were difficult to master at higher levels, the graphics were pretty decent, and it was a fun game to play. All of that is part of why it was the worst game I ever bought.

Here's the scenario: I had owned my PS2 for two days, and at that point the only games I had played on it were Smackdown and Madden, both of which I had rented from Blockbuster. I went to GameStop to buy a game, and I wanted to make sure I got a 2player game so me and my stepson could play it together. We finally picked out Baldur's Gate, went home, started playing, and were very happy with the results. It was a Sunday, we had nothing else to do, so decided to make a day of it and see how far we could get.

Five hours later, we beat the game.

W...T...F!!!

I spent 50 bucks on this game, and we beat it in five hours? Understand, I had previously played Baldur's Gate for the PC, had logged over 30 hours of gameplay, and had only made it to the end of Chapter 2, out of 5 Chapters. I was expecting so much out of this version, and to find that there was so little content was very, very disappointing to me.

I have played Baldur's gate for the PS2 and I have to say that I agree with you. The graphics, game play and sheer scope of customisation really enthralled me a lot when I first started playing it and I was quite sure that I would have spent a lot of time laying it. However, the campaign really was quite short and no matter how good the game was, you always felt that more of it would have been nice. I have to say though, that the length of the story was not a complete let down. Sure, it was annoying that it was brief but I don't think it took away from the game in a major sort of way. It is one of those games that you just want to play more and more of and I did think it was a great game.

Definitely not the worst game.

I'm proud to say that I've never bought a bad game in my life. When I buy a game, I usually take alot of factors into consideration. Reviews, what my friends think of the game, if I enjoyed the prequels, whether the game looks original, trailers etc etc.

But if I had to pick which game I enjoyed the least out of the games I've bought.... It would probably be Age of Empires 3. This game disappointed me quite alot... When I got Age of Empires, I was addicted to it for weeks, it was arguably the perfect RTS game. So when AoE 3 was coming out, I was really looking forward to it, hoping they hadn't changed the awesome formula... And when it came out, they hadn't changed the formula. It was still pretty much the same game. Yet I just didn't enjoy it as much, I have no idea why. If anyone else who's played the game could shed any light on this, I'd appreciate it. But the game itself just seemed so... Half assed.

Age of Empires 3 is a game that I was never really a fan of. I never bought it but I did play it quite a lot. My friends were all taken aback by how well constructed and how addictive the game was but I never really felt the same way. I have never been a fan of RTS games and I don't think I ever will be. To me, this game was just more of the same and whilst it may be a little bit of fun for a short period of time, I could never get over the fact that the games went on for prolonged periods of time and people who play it's online features are infinitely better than I am. With that being said, I never really thought that the game was everything that people were making it out to be. It was graphically a big step up but I am glad that I never spent any of my own money on it anyway.

WWE RAW(2002) for Xbox
Damn
That game had zero controls, zero gameplay, zero match types- good god
it just sucked you couldnt pin without going out the ring.
Ahhh
it makes me mad thinking about it

I've been quite lucky I suppose, and I've never really had a totally shit game, but this is by far the worst that has ever been in my collection. Sluggish, bad controls and a lack of anything dynamic whatsoever made for a really unenjoyable game to be honest.

FIFA 64 was also pretty shit, but me and my brother found a way of enjoying it. The worst game I've had the pleasure of playing though is the frankly attrocious Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, which is fucking terrible but really morish.

One of the worst game's ive ever bought is Street Figher IV, this game is terrible, the terrible, repetitive fighting, the lame graphics, crap controls, this game just sucks i sold it after a day because it was that bad.
wow i love street fighter 4. so i took that kinda hard....the combo possibilities are amazing. every character is unique and has different combos to work with along with nice ultra moves that can also be combo'd into. how are the graphics lame...its the best street fighter graphics to date. crap controls? the controls are the same for almost every street fighter game. light, medium, hard kick...light, medium, hard punch. and of course the 3 punch button and 3 kick button. this is basic street fighter layout here. maybe you just dont like street fighter period.....

I've never really bought a terrible game but the worst would have to be Call of Duty Finest Hour. This game was ridiculously hard for me and I couldn't even beat the 2nd level. You were a sniper and had to go through a dark sewer and had to beat a shit ton of Nazis. I still can't beat it to this day.

Marvel Nemesis Rise of the Imperfect for the DS has the worst gameplay of any game I've bought. Trying to have a really good 3D fighting game on the DS was a terrible idea to me. If you picked a certain few characters (don't remember anymore) and you used a few of the moves you could beat anyone without them getting anywhere near you.

The worst game I ever bought? GoldenEye: Rogue Agent. Not to confused with Goldeneye 007 on the N64. "GoldenEye: Rogue Agent" was a terrible game on the Gamecube that I bought because of being fooled by its name into thinking it might be a good game. It wasn't. In fact, its name is probably the only reason it ever sold any copies. I played it with my roommate and his friend for an hour or so, then we all unanimously agreed that this game was awful, and I sold it back that same afternoon. "GoldenEye: Rogue Agent" is the only game I have ever sold back on the same day that I bought it. It truly deserves a spot on the Wall of Shame.

I think the worst game I ever played would be Legends Of Dragoon. Just a final fantasy ripoff. For the playstation.
-TheBigCheez-It-

No. That game was awesome. The whole thing with timing your attacks just right was probably the reason you didn't like it. That game was good once you got enough practice in to figure out how to time the attacks right. The story was incredible and the soundtrack was good too; let's not forget the graphics either. You REALLY need to give that game a second chance. You won't regret it, I promise.

It perhaps isn't the worst game I have ever bought but it is one of the games that I have most regretted buying. I am, of course, talking about Mass Effect. I don't know why I didn't like it or why it never had the staying power over me that other people who play it have been privy to. However, I seriously regretted buying this game. I thought the story could have been simplified and truth be told, I can't remember half of the stuff that went down. Now, with that being said, I have to say that I could have given it a bit more of a fair chance. I played it for around 10 hours and got through the game pretty quickly. I never finished it but I had played enough of the game to realise that it wasn't for me at all. I hated the combat system and the shooting was pretty annoying for me. However, I am hoping that the release of the sequel will really drive my thirst for the game to new heights and I might go back and play it.

We shall see.
