There's a woman in the Texas state assembly that a few months ago talked about being afraid of middle eastern women coming here, having children and then taking these American citizens back to the middle east and raising them as terrorists and then having them come back here. She called them Terror Babies.

Flash forward to now. THis same woman has a new idea about illegal aliens. In essence, the law she is proposing says that anyone who hires an illegal alien faces a $10,000 fine and jail time. HOWEVER, if the illegal alien is working in a single family household, it's ok. Read as, if an illegal alien is a cook, a handyman, a nanny, a gardener etc, it's ok if they're illegal.

Now tell me: can anyone think of what this sounds like?

Sounds like a damn shame. A republican of all people should realize the importance of illegal labor in Texas. I used to be naive about it, but it's a fucked up system that works.

It sounds kind of like slavery, but at least they're getting paid and they get to go home at the end of the day. It still sounds like some Meg Whitman bullshit where she's only keeping the illegal immigrants in the country so they can mow her lawn and scrub her floors.

I'm all for the $10,000 dollar fine and jail time though, as long as it's for the hirer and not for the illegal immigrant. There are factory farms that basically run Mexicans across the boarder and promise them that they'll protect them from the immigration police, but the second the cops come knocking they give the immigrants away and it's the immigrants who suffer. Forcing them to pay a $10,000 dollar fine per immigrant would be sweet justice.
