The Super Mario Bros. Super Show

IrishCanadian25

Going on 10 years with WrestleZone
This was the greatest event in the history of television.

Capt. Lou Albano was given a career-making role as Mario Mario, the lead role on this daily show which combined live acting (with Albano and Danny Wells as Luigi, running their plumbing business) and cartoons (4 days of Mario, and Zelda on Fridays!) for those who couldn't get enough video game TV.

This show was the reason I came home from school each day, and Friday's Legend of Zelda episode was the first time I learned to appreciate Fridays. Danica MacKeller showed up on the show, Ernie Hudson as a "Slimebuster," Vanna White, Nicole Eggert, and of course Roddy Piper and Sgt. Slaughter.

This was so schlocky for the time, and it kept true to a lot of the characters. Now that I've posted this (and some of you need to give me some input too), I am going to try to find the show on DVD...

I FUCKING LOVED THAT SHOW, IC. I used to watch it all the time when I was 3-4. I loved Super Mario Bros. and nintendo for that matter, so I naturally fell in love the show. I don't remember much of the Zelda series, but I do remember watching a couple of them. The show kinda stopped being played in my area when I was 4 and haven't seen it really ever on TV since. If I ever found it at a store (the dvd's that is) I would so buy it and smoke a fat one and remember the good old days.....

Fuck it, thank you IC. I'm going to go find my old NES and play Super Mario Bros and then the original Legend of Zelda, fuck tonight's going to be awesome.
