The Return Of Chuck Palumbo

Does anyone care? I doubt he's going to have a better run this time. The release of Palumbo wasn't met with WTF's around the world. There's plenty of wrestlers who have been released over the years that should have been brought back. I dont think he has anything to offer. He's ok I suppose. But when you consider he's hardly a name. At least Test was given a proper push at one point. Chuck was in a ''gay'' tag team with the useless Billy Gunn.

It's not like he's a name either. They will have to build him up from the bottom. It's not like he's coming in with name recognition. They should have brought in somebody who's a better wrestler, talker and with serious hair. It's not like there isn't talented wrestlers out there. And why did he have to beat Kenny? Isn't there somebody on the roster without potential who he could have beaten?

He won't last long. WWE put Taker's old Biker gimmick on Palumbo in hopes of him getting recognized, but I highly doubt that is going to make a difference. I heard a long time ago that the main reason why he was considered being brought back was because his brother is serving time in the War against Terrorism. I thought that he executed his finisher perfectly(Full Throttle or Blackhole Slam), even better than Abyss, but other than that there's not much to say about him(yet anyways). In a month or two we will probably be reading on WZ "WWE as come to terms with the release of Chuck Palumbo, we wish him the best in his future endeavors".

I agree, Chuck is next to useless. The only time he was worth anything in the ring, was with Billy and the whole gay angle, that got alot of media attention at the time, and should have been enough to push those guys over, but it wasnt. when i saw him come out on smackdown, He did everything exactly like taker, its like he watched old clips and copied the moves. And his finisher, the Blackhole slam, Catatonic, Rock bottom, you name it, all the same but modified, Its a direct ripoff of Harris's, but thats something you would have to take up with him.... hmmm funny enough, they almost look identical too harris and chuck.. someone shouuld post a picture of new harris, and new chuck, i betcha i found out a copy :p

he should never have won that match against Dykstra. but maybe thats WWE's way of pushing him, but i dont think hes gona get a push. i dont see him doing much from now, maybe a couple of wins here and there, and thats it. maybe he should be shifted to ECW and become a jobber for the uprising stars, or could stay on Smackdown and do that lol.

I dont know skulls, i had the impression of Chuck struggled to carry Kenny and execute the Full Throttle, and honestly, it was 1000000 miles away of Abyss Black hole slam.
Only time i heard a little of Palumbo was when he teamed with FBI and once, i saw Brock Lesnar made a big F-5 on him(SD), LOL!

This gimmick for him wont last too long. Palumbo should have not been given this gimmick as it should gone to some young up and comer that could work the mic some and work in the ring. Palumbo is at best nothing more than a tag team wrestler and his best days ever in Wrestling was when he was in that "gay" team with worthless Billy Gunn.

I know this to get him over and maybe as a serious contender but the biker gimmick will always be known for Taker. So really he will be back po jobbing soon as this dont me much. A short push for now but nothing in the longterm for him.

It really pissed me off that they made dysksta job to him , dykstra should really be given a push and could he PLEASE do that sweet guillotine leg drop he used to do. Oh wait palumbo we're talkin about right? He was mildy entertaining as part of billy and chuck with the worthless billy gunn but apart from that hes goin nowhere fast with his carbon copy taker gimmick.

Actually, The Full Throttle isn't a rip off of the Black Hole Slam, it's a rip off of the Cat-a-tonic.

But my opinion of Chuck Pulombo is this. He is a rough type who would be better playing hired muscle than trying to get heat on his own. He has a monster punch, which seems to be a characteristic of alot of guys who came through the power plant such as Pulombo and Jindrak. He has a good upside of being young as well. It's just that either the crowd won't get into him or don't remember him enough to even crack a decent pop for him. I'm curious to see how long he can carry the American Badass gimmick without havintg the atheleticism to mimic Taker. I say they end up putting Pulombo back into a heel tag team with another big guy. Perhaps they can switch him over to ECW and have him be managed by Estrada. I mean he can't go any lower in the ranks, can he?

hey the idea of hired muscle sounds great, but how abt if they turned him into like an APA sort of thing where he gets paid to do the dirty work?? as a heel of course, it could possibly push him. maybe form a stable on ECW, create enuf heat and maybe go back to Smackdown and try there. i guess that is a long shot and unrealistic but i dont know, what do u think???

i dont think this gimmick will last too long its already been used once and im not sure if he can get over with the crowd, but most people probaly dont remember him anyway from his gay tag team days.i think he will just be back in tag team action soon and will be released sooner or later but it will be interesting in where they decide to go cause as far as i know he has no mic skills and hes really a no name but itll be interesting to see where they go with chuck

I like his new character a lot. He's no Bret Hart, but he kind of reminds me of a 2001 Undertaker. I'm glad they didn't just make him another "monster heel". All in all, I think he's United States Championship material, and, in the far future, in the World Title hunt.

I'm sorry but I don't feel as though Chuck is anywhere near US Title or World Title material at all. I remember seeing Chuck back in his rookie WCW days (fresh off of the power plant) where he debuted as a tag team. He never really got over with fans (as a face or a heel), and I just don't think that he will in WWE either. He hasn't ever really done anything in his sporadic time on WWE TV, and I just don't see him going anywhere but a classic mid-carder who gets involved in "mid-card" storylines but without title hopes.

the hired muscle thing may work, but as a biker. its been done by taker and chuck will never match that. pointless gimmick

It seems like they will have to put alot of work into Chuck just to make up for him being in the gay angle. Did you notice hes all macho now, like they are trying to give him Undertakers old American Bad Ass gimmick? He would have to have a sword and the powers of Grayskull to ever harness enough manliness to make up for the commitment ceremony.

nobody cares about the gay angle anymore so i wish people would shut the hell up about it.

I am so glad Palumbo is being given a push, i can see alot of potential in him and i hope that sometime in the near future he's challenging for the US title.

Everyone is always quick to have a go at a wrestler, sure he was in a crappy storylinr back in the day but whos faults that? Not his thats for sure.

As Chuck would say "Get Ready for the ride of your life!"

wow, i easily saw 3 or 4 Chuck Palumbo's promos yesterday at SD, and honestly, i dont know what the hell are they going to do with him. It seems that he is going to be a face, so, maybe a feud with Chris Masters is the most logical thought, besides, i dont see Chuck near a belt, at least for now.
Maybe around Unforgiven, if he's still on TV, they could throw him in the US belt picture, but not now.

I hate to be a hater, but I don't see Palumbo ever winning the US title, let alone be in the main event. Face or heel, the guy has just never been over with the crowd. The highlight of his career was ironically the Billy and Chuck tag team that everyone talks so negatively about. But now that he is a poor man's Biker Taker, I just don't see how this new run is going to be any different for him.

I'm thinking positive, but first the negativ. :) I didn't like Chuck as a member of FBI, but this new character (althought already used one) could work.

The positiv: It's good thinkg to bring new wrestlers in WWE, they need to find new talent and good characters, if they don't work, drop them. But the important thing is to bring in new wrestlers, and some of them can make it!

I think he will fizzle out in a few weeks, his gimmick will get old and stale, but apparently its close to his actal person out side the ring, so it might last a little while longer, as he can relate to it more. Although he hasn't got that much talent, yeah, hes ok for a bigish guy but the last time I saw him he were kinda sloppy in the ring, and he will be forever rememberd with the gay wedding angle which were soo stupid

Chuck Palumbo can be as big as Smackdown lets him be, I think the first thing to get him over is push him as a heel against MVP for the US Title, obviously I don't think he should get the belt, but I say use MVP's status to get Palumbo over, because his gimmick is not kayfabe, his life is dedicated to motorcycles. It will be tough to get him to the point WCW had him in 2000 - 2001 with the Natural Born Thrillers or Tag Team Champs with O'Hare (who is a prospect that I wouldn't mind seeing brought back instead of Palumbo).

He reminds me of Taker during that time as well, and that's the problem. Taker made the gimmick more believeable. Also the gimmick was done by Taker who was a wrestler that the fans liked. Nobody knows or has seen that much of Chuck Palumbo and the last time anyone saw him was when he was in that Billy and Chuck tag team and when he was part of the Full Blooded Italians. Not exactly a good lasting mark. And frankly Palumbo with this biker gimmick, I'm hardly impressed.
