The Punt-banned?

Read it today,a fan on twitter suggested Randy Orton to punt Y2J.In reply,he told the WWE banned it because of causing concussions.We all know how randy puts guys on shelf(except cena) with it.Is it true or just a part of story line?

And the move got banned after WWE '12 came out.

And yeah, I don't blame them for getting rid of the punt. It's simply an unnecessary risk with what we now know about concussions.

You neglected to mention RVD who got punted by a Orton he defeated six days later in a stretcher match. Learn your history, son.

Really depends of if it actually has given concussions before. Those kicks Daniel Bryan does could easily give concussions too if they aren't done properly, same with the punt.

If they actually are banning the punt because of concussions they would ban kicks to the head altogether.

The shin does more damage than a foot could ever do. And "The Punt" isn't nearly as dangerous as the headkicks Punk and Bryan regularly do.

Even if the punt is rigged, the WWE is smart to ban the move.

Concussions in sports are the hot topic right now in the media (legitimately so, as they are major, major issues), and they don't need to fake concussions just to garner a reaction. Write a guy off for a while using a different strategy.
