The most ridiculous attire ever sported in the squared circle

After RAW on Monday I got to thinking. When it comes to outfit worn to the ring, it is really personal preferance. There are many kinds outfits worn through out the history of the WWE. From the triditonal tights worn by Triple H and Batista. There is the singlet worn by Kurt Angle or Finley. And then we have the creative ones like MVP. So my question is who has worn the worst ring attire ever in the WWE. This includes what they wear to the ring. Only having started watching the four years ago, I have to go with the number Willam Regal sported last monday night. What was that... he usually wears the classic tights but for some reason a vest was added. It looked awkward, and even if he was out of shape, it would have looked better without it. At a close second is Road Warrior Animal, when he went solo shortly before his release. He looked like a fat gay biker, or a cowpoke. You decide.

I dunno. All mentioned so far are pretty ridiculous. Let me throw in Rico for consideration. I mean there were like streamers coming off the guy's pants. The make up was rather... crazy? Espically towards the end of his stay in WWE. JBL has to be one too. Yes he just wears the typical tights, but that is something JBL should not be wearing. His gut hangs over not to mention he needs a shirt to cover them jugs. On a joking note I found Victoria's Halloween costume to be rather ridiculous in itself as a sumo wrestler.

What you have to realise is that all these things go with their gimmicks. People don't just go out planning on looking hilarious and people not taking them seriously. But most of those wrestlers are just working with their gimmick. One thing that comes into mind is the Mr. Ass gimmick. He pulled this role off perfectly. From all the women surrounding him, to the towels, to the shorts. It all fit perfectly.

Then you have HBK in his days as a beginner. He was the Heartbreak Kid. It's been his gimmick since he started. But if you look at what he was wearing now you just laugh. He looked like he was part of the village people with what he was wearing. But it fit perfectly with his gimmick.

If WCW's history counts, since its owned by WWE now, I would have to say Glacier. That fake Mortal Kombat costume thing was refreakingdiculous. If not, I would have to go with Dusty Rhodes' polka dot trunks. Seeing a fat man like that wearing the equivalent of a speedo JUST AINT RIGHT.

This one's easy. Max Moon.
I don't know how the hell a) Someone let him wear that on tv, b) he let himself wear that on tv, c) he wrestled in that on tv. What a terrible concept. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh, after all this was when the WWE was a little more kid friendly. With the new direction that they seem to be heading (PG rating), maybe this guy will get himself a spot back on tv.

I think Tatanka in his last WWE tenure was just plain horrible. A guy who's gained several pounds (while staying in shape, relatively) and wears Native American attire at his age? There was only a question before he became a jobber and got released.

And you can't mention "ridiculous" without Shannon Moore when he was in WWECW. "I'm bringing sexy back!". YEP!

Hmmmm anyone remeber when HHH and Evolution were fueding with goldberg , HHH would wear his standered tights with a pair of underwarmer tights underneath it ? IMO this lookd absolutly horrendous as there was about a 4 inch gap were u seen his leg and the rest was black , lookd very weird and stupid indeed.

What about Rob Conway? Before he left, his ring attire was basically lingerie. It plain out looked horrible.

Also, Rico scared me too with his tights, the way he painted his face, and the way he acted, well just made him look gay.

El Gigante. A body suit with muscles printed on it. And hair. Stupidest. Ring attire. Ever. If we're counting WCW/ECW, the Blue Meanie is up there, for me at least.

And Vito's dress, before he was released.

He's one of my favorite wrestlers and performers of all time but sadly I'd have to say Shawn Michaels's current attire. It's WAY too baggy for him. He looks like a Kriss Kross reject. I wish he'd go back to his normal attire.......he looked hella cool. Now he looks like an old man attempting not to attempt to look cool....if that even makes sense.lol

of all time it has to be the ultimate warrior in his wwf comeback when he was in a singlet with muscles printed on it. no whait what about doink in his clown outfit or men on a mission? there have been loads hi energy in there mc hammer pants.

When i first got Survivor Series 2002 DVD and it was the very first elimination Chamber Match i remember Shawn Michaels wearing some ugly brown poopy colored Tights with like Blue Hearts on the Knee kaps that said HeartBreak Kid and had this Weird Haircut to if anyone hasn't seen the Shawn Michaels DVD Triple H and Chris Jericho made fun of them to watch the Match and look at Shawn Michaels Ring Attire that Night you would agree

Rey Mysterio at Wrestlemania 22 was something else...something ...evil? He looked like a great big chicken. A chicken who won the World Heavyweight Championship. yeah, thats good for business.

I'm gonna have to say, vladimir koslov's tighty whiteys. Honestly, those things scare the crap out of me. lmao, I'm just waiting for the day when someone bigger than him like show or khali comes along and hits him so hard that he craps in those things on national tv!!!!
Ummm, some more ridiculous outfits... blue meanie's girly top and bank robber eyes, rico's dress, OMG.......BIG DICK JOHNSON!!!!!!! *cringes*

Macho Man Randy Savage had some crazy outfits throughout the 90s. The colorful The cowboy hat, sunglasses jacket with the tesels. He had some crazy get ups. It suited him though he was a colorful character.

For me, it's a tie between Giant Gonzales, Mideon, and Max Moon (Moon probably wins. His outfit was beyond ridiculous)

As of now, Chris Jericho's new attire is the worst. I literally gasped when he came out in those trucks.

I've read some say Shawn Michaels, personally I've always liked his outfits. I thought they were cool and creative (albeit somewhat outrageous at times, but his character was supposed to be flamboyant, so it works). I really like his current attire, can't say why, it just looks good on him for some reason IMO.

I'm going to say Max Moon and Giant Gonzales. Those outfits were terrible. I would be beyond embarrassed to wear those. Shawn Michaels' suit from the first Elimination Chamber was brown tights and it looked terrible. It was so ugly.

Also wasn't Ultimate Warrior wearing painted on muscles before? That might have been someone else but that looked bad too.

There's so many classic responses, it's hard to pick one. But (in no particular order):

I know they it was part of their image as preppy boys but shane mcmahon's "mean street posse" Wrestling in sweater vests? Come on, are you serious?

Again, part of the image I know but the spirit squad as wrestling cheerleaders?

The bezerker...came out dressed like a viking. I don't get it. The viking age ended about 1000 years ago. At least he wasn't a cave man. But then again, it wouldn't surprise me if there was a short lived stint where someone was a caveman

The "killer bees" tag team. Really...you're going to dress like bumblebees? And that will be scary? Um, ok.

regal's WWE debut when his image was a "real man's man". He had a plaid shirt and a hard hat. I think maybe jean shorts too? it just looked really awkward.

when farooq first debuted, i forgot what his name was. sunny was his valet and he was dressed in this ridiculous quasi-gladiator getup, complete with a blue rubber helmet.

abe "knuckleball" schwartz. I never understood this one. a wrestler, who dresses like a baseball player? and he even paints his face to make it look like a baseball? WTF?

And finally, the best for last: Mantaur. With or without the bullhead, this guy looked ridiculous. But especially walking to the ring with it on. Who did he lose a bet with to get stuck wearing a theme park mascot head?

In the old days it has to be Max Moon. But currently in the WWE it is hands down Chris Jericho. I know many other people wear the classic wrestling tights, but they just don't fit his character. I know he said there would be no more Y2J but was is neccessary to change the tights he wore? I geuss when he said no more Y2J he meant the tights to because he obviously felt that people would associate the tights with Y2J.
