I'm sure most of us by now have heard about the bill in being labeled
"The Internet Killswitch". The concept is a bit vauge, but it's roughly interpreted as giving the President to have the power to disable the internet, or part of the internet in times of civil unrest. The bill faded, but it's receiving a bit of an encore.

I can't imagine many people being in favor of it here on Wrestlezone- Conservative, Liberal, or Nazi- but I'll pose the question regardless. XD

What is your stance on The Internet Killswitch?

And, what do you think about the bill's revival?

First of all, that article you posted doesn't even begin to come close to an accurate portrayal of what the bill is for.

Second of all, I completely disagree with the idea that the President can bring United States Internet Services to a halt. I understand the idea has merit, but what makes the Internet so great has been the fact it has always been free of government control. Sure, laws and regulations have been passed to protect people from others, but at the end of the day, you can be sure you allowed to do anything which is legal.

I don't like this bill, even if it's for "our safety".

To clarify, I wasn't posting the article to describe the bill. I posted it because it mentioned the bill coming back into play.
If you want to post an article with an accurate portrayal of what the bill is for, then by all means please do so.
