The future of Guitar Hero/Rock Band

Excellence of Execution
Everyone knows how popular the Guitar Hero/Rock Band franchises has been, giving gamers a chance to "play" their favorite songs and rocking out. We've gone from cover songs on a five button guitar, to master recordings, to original songs for the game, to full instrument games, and now the current craze is band exclusive games (like Aerosmith and Metallica). All of this is well and good, but it's time freshen up the franchise, and I have just the way to do it.

Rock Band made use of a band feature, touring and so on. Well, it's time to up that ante. It's time to allow users the opportunity to start playing their own concerts. But, I'm not talking about choosing an arbitrary number of songs and going through hitting buttons. I'm talking about designing EVERY aspect of the concert.

Design your own:

1) Movements for each band member. Maybe your drummer likes to flip his sticks. Maybe the lead guitarist likes to do the Chuck Berry skip while playing. Maybe your lead singer decides to randomly venture out into the crowd while singing. Each band member should be completely customizable.

2) Design your own special effects. This, of course, is dependent upon how popular your band is, and how much money you are able to make. Maybe at first, you have some special light patterns (which you can design). Then, perhaps you can get a video screen. Maybe a fog machine, laser lights, etc. The special effects are completely custom, and you can do different things for the different songs you play in your concerts.

3) Design your own concert touring group. Rare are the bands that perform solo at a concert. Usually, there will be a collection of bands on the show. With this feature, you can choose which groups to tour with. When you're just starting out, you will start as an opening act, and have limited selection of bands to work with. As you grow in popularity, you can choose bigger name bands (whether those bands are fictitious or real, doesn't matter) to tour with, and once you reach superstardom, you will be the headliner, pulling in the most money, and can choose bands to open for you.

I'm sure there are other improvements that can be made in this area, but I'll leave that up to everyone else. What can you think of that could be added to improve the Guitar Hero/Rock Band franchises? It can be along the same vein as my ideas, or your own separate ideas.

I say being able to add your own camera movements would awesome,
right now, the game itself does a pretty good job of keeping camera on the one who's ever playing an awesome part of the song, sometimes through it just goes all over the place, adding custom camera movements could fix all the that.

Something I always thought would be cool is being able to manage the band,
being able to fire members that are a part of your band and being able to scout out other members from other bands or hire new people from around where ever your hometown is, you could train them, choose how much you want to pay them, choose what shows and stadiums you want to work at.

I think those are some innovative ideas but I say along with those ideas, In order for Rock Band to survive against Guitar Hero, I personally think that they should add the Battle Of The Bands concept as a game mode cause it would be a great opportunity to play against the CPU band(which I have always thought of adding the Battle Of The Bands Concept myself if I were to create a video game) & of course once you win like a certain area of Battle Of The Bands then you not only get to be more recognizeable but also perform in more known arenas for concerts.
