Paint by numbers.
This is my first thread, and I've looked around, and can't find anything similar. Now, keep in mind; this isn't your average "what wrestler needs a better finisher" thread, as I'm sure everyone is as tired as I am of reading that Morrison needs to get Starship Pain as far away from our televisions as possible. So, here it goes.
First, take a wrestler who's finisher you don't fancy so much and try to change it up a bit. Little things that would make the finisher more believable to you, or something that would make you enjoy it more.
Second, pick a wrestler who's finishing move suits them PERFECTLY, and completely throw it away. Pick something else that you believe might suit them better or get them over more. Explain why you feel this way.
Now I want this thread to include EVERYONE from Undertaker to David Otunga. From Shawn Michaels to Chavo Guerrero. You get the idea. Get creative here, pick some names people might not expect, or some superstars that people absolutely adore the finishers of. Hell, do two or three people. Also, feel free to agree and disagree on ideas posted before yours. I'll kick it off.
1. Michael McGillicutty's swinging neckbreaker. While the forums scream for him to adopt his birth name, and father's finishing manuever, I have a different idea. I'd like him to keep the neckbreaker finisher, but spice it up a bit. No longer a running neckbreaker, I'd like it to turn into a move I've only seen on SvR video games (sue me if I've missed someone do this recently), where the person in question gets his opponent in position for a fishermans suplex, only to swing into a devastating looking neckbreaker. I think it would be fresh (albeit, not entirely original), still pay a bit of homage to his heritage and look a bit better than his overused current neckbreaker.
2. This is just selfish personal opinion of mine, but my pick for number two is Dave Batista's Batista Bomb. I've never been a huge fan of powerbomb finishers, and other than the odd time (like his Raw debut against Justin Credible) this move is no different. Now, I'm not exactly being entirely original here and giving a huge change, but I believe he should have used his spinebuster as his finishing move. To me, atleast, it looks like it hurts WAY more than his powerbomb. If I had to pick something completely different though, I'd have him use the Brock Lock, as it was most recently called in WWE. Big guys make this move look devastating.
Floor is open, guys.
