The Fakest Move You've Ever Seen In Wrestling

k first off,idk if this has been posted before so my bad if it has been posted before, but anyways wat was the fakest move u have ever seen?it can be anything from a tombstone piledriver to a simple punch.for me it was in tna, when i forgot who was wrestling, but someone punched someone else, they fall, and the guy on the ground gets up,looks around and falls again.when nothing happened!so wats the most fakest thing you've ever seen in wwe/tna etc.

P.S. WCW,WWF are alo acceptable.

If you're talking about which move requires the most suspension of disbelief, that EASILY has to go to the 619. That move is just ridiculous. These guys just sit there, waiting for Mysterio to hit them, despite knowing what is coming up next. Then, there's the fact that Mysterio is probably the lightest wrestler save for Evan Bourne or Brian Kendrick, and this is supposed to hurt these guys enough to be a finisher? C'mon.

If you're talking about botches, I say just watch one of the 50 or so Botchamania segments on YouTube and you'll see them all.

The Canadian Destroyer is the most ridiculous move ever. It's cool to look at, but would never happen.

Any of the moves like Five Knuckle Shuffle, People's Elbow, Worm or any other "Abortion" thank you mick foley, are pretty terrible.

well by fakest,i mean all types of fakeness.from how ridiculous the 619 looks,to a punch,to anything.and ive seen the videos, but its best to hear peoples opinion instead.i got another one,the 5 Knuckle Shuffle.he doesnt even hit them let alone touch their hair and yet, they go up in pain.

Hmm, are you saying wrestling could be fake?

How about Old School?
Taker looks wobley and unstable while he's up there.
Every time I watch him do Old School I cant help but think why the other guy doesn't push him to the outside.

ya same here cus dont get me wrong,i'm a big undertaker fan,but i just cant help think y doesnt the guy just push him off?i got another one which was a series of moves.in Kane vs. Batista on Raw,after the match when i think it was kane who was hitting batista with the steel chair against the steel post,it was fake as hell.batista was never even hit.kane just hit the steel ring post while batista was in "pain".

I fully agree with the statements regarding The Canadian Destroyer and Old School as there is very little psychology in both which leaves them looking extremely unrealistic.

At least the Canadian Destroyer looks impressive.

619, People's Elbow and the Worm are just ridiculous. They take forever to execute, and we're supposed to believe that their set up moves keep the opponent down long enough for the move to finish. Since when does a drop toe hold onto the ropes, a Spine Buster, or crappy bulldog keep an opponent down for the 10+ seconds it takes to execute these maneuvers?

Old School is another one that really screams fake. Taker's opponent is fully capable of pushing Taker off the ropes, but instead is magically made defenseless by Undertaker's grasp. But unlike the 619, People's Elbow or the Worm, Old School isn't a finisher which makes it a lot less ridiculous.

good point Deadman.i got another one which is freaking infamous(if u saw it on tv or youtube),scott steiner taking christans head, and christian banging his own head against the mat.wtf?that just screams fakeness.

How about a superplex or tower of doom, pretty much most things relating to turnbuckle moves I think belong in here as well.

With Old School, i think you're supposed to believe that the recipient is in pain from the applied arm ringer that leads into the move. But then you have the luchadors who just hold your hand, and then bounce and flip around on the top rope three or four times before executing an arm drag. An arm drag does not hurt, and why wouldn't you just yank them off?

I can't believe it hasn't come up yet, so i'll say it:- The Mandible Claw. COME ON!!!!!

Or any move that includes bouncing off the ropes or climbing up them, like The Kendrick or the Acid Drop/Dudley Dog. Why wouldn't you just throw them off?

Or a hurricanrana. Why wouldn't i just powerbomb the crap out of him? Or when they do a spinning headscissors yet the recipient actually spins round on his feet two or three times before taking the bump. If you stop the opponent will just wrap himself around you and then you can deliver a vertabreaker or celtic cross.

Pedigree: Before I get mobbed, listen to the explanation.

If a pedigree were a real-life move.. it could seriously f*ck a person up. Think about this, you're suspending the arms of your victim, then leaping with all your weight, coming down onto their head. You are crushing their head onto whatever floor is beneath you both.

If you have their head pinned just right.. you could break their nose, and possibly kill them. Triple H. is obviously NOT doing the move properly.. ie. It's the fakest (is that proper?) move I've ever seen.

sure will that counts.and ya ive thought about that, but never on that type of level.and mandible slaw dam it.another move is rhinos spear or gore or watever he calls it.he doesnt even hit them.all he does is hit their freaking arm and they go spinning in the air come on.like i've said many times(to friends and family, not here),only Goldberg can do a perfect spear.in wrestling i no football players r good at it to.

Dont know if ths is too old school (pardon the pun) but when tito santana was el matador his fist to the back of the neck looked really lame. I mean as if someone would stay bent over from the waist long enough for there oppenent to call the move too the crowd, run the ropes and then plant a fist on the back of the neck so hard as too knock you out.

That's why i'd use the pedigree in a real fight. Ain't no chance in hell they'll get up after having 170 pounds of me forcing their face into the floor, which if it were in a street, fucking concrete. Best case scenario would be a seriously flattened face. Worst case scenario, death via nose through the brain or completely shattered skull.

I also forget to mention the Axe Kick as a stupid move. Why on earth would the opponent just stand there. Regal makes it look even worse however. He would always get hit in the back of the head yet go flying backwards!?!?!

I didn't completely get your idea of what "fake" in this context means exactly, but if you're talking about moves that wouldn't damage anyone in real life there's of course the Leg Drop. There's just no way in hell that could ever finish off anybody. It's one of the easiest "bumps" you can take. Unless your leg is one of those special prosthetic ones with knives coming out of them, it couldn't even finish off Hornswoggle.

Or if you mean fake as in "that move is completely unrealistic and why the hell doesn't the opponent do anything when he has about 15 seconds to get up?" You've mentioned many good ones like the 'Rana, 619 and THE WORM, THE WORM!!! (Sorry, SD! Just Bring It flashback.) but there's of course also the splash. For example, Warrior's running splash. I don't really need to say anymore, do I. But strange as it may sound, I always sort of liked those gimmicky, long finishers, at least when the Rock did the elbow. If you didn't mark, you have a problem.

Believe it or not, the Mandible Claw can actually cause a person to black out. It pinches the Mandibular Nerve, which is under your tongue. If you try to bite the person's fingers, you'd have to bite your own tongue first.

by fake i mean fake like"wtf?he didnt even hit him?"or"how the fuck did he get pinned by that?"or moves like 619 or The Worm or F-U where the move is weak, yet it can easily take out someone.

so post any of the fakest moves u seen.whether it be a punch or kick or move that didnt even hit the person,or fake by in reality, the person would be dead or get up quickly and continue to fight.

i got pedigreed by my friend at the school disco when i was like 10 and it didn't hurt that much

well did all his weight land on your head or did he go in the air but let u go at the last second?because if thats the case,u were probably just falling like 1-2 feet which isnt much.
