The Curious Case of John Morrison
Alas, one John Morrison seems to be at the end of his road in the WWE. With reports stating that his contract will be expiring soon, Jomo has lost match after match and then he randomly beats Mr. Ziggles clean. Dolph breaking up with Vickie is a situation by itself but I see it coming but it could mean bigger things for Dolph on Raw. Back to Jomo, with reports conflicting that he will face Zigs at Survivor Series and not Zack Ryder, a feud that could be meaningful could begin. In my perfect world the following could happen to save Jomo and prevent him from going to TNA. At Survivor Series, play up the fact that John received the title shot instead of Ryder which would ultimate bring some heat to Jomo. Ryder could pitch his show and how is father is a mark for him but then bring up the fact that he finally won a match after being on a losing streak. John would come back saying that he has been losing but at least he appears on Raw more. Leave it at that. The match between Jomo and Dolph ends with Vickie interference costing Dolph the match and Jomo winning the title to some mixed reviews and hatred amongst the internet marks. Another backstage segment between Jomo and Ryder can happen where Ryder comes to congratulate him but John ditches him and tells some disliked words further fueling the sparks.
Next Monday, Dolph wants his rematch will Zack wants his match with his petition. John Laryngitis comes out to say Ryders petition was for a match against Dolph at SS but it is no longer SS and he is living in the past but will acknowledge Johns title shot rematch against Dolph. Ryder will have to earn his title shot by beating Jack Swagger. Ryder wins and the fans go crazy. Jomo beats Dolph again its because of Vickie messing up again. Dolph announces the termination of his contract with Vickie as her talent. The crowd cheers as Vickie says he is nothing without her. Backstage, John meets up with Zack as Zack claims he will be coming for Jomo but he has to film his YouTube show. John says come charismatic words (heel like) and pitches that he will be on his YouTube show this week. A major storyline event could happen on his show where Jomo heel turn is shown as he attacks Zack and his father making him heel. WWE could use this on wwe.com and plug it on Twitter and social media websites would devour it as the views would keep coming in.
On Friday Night Smackdown, they would air the attack to keep the interest especially of the Internet marks and on Monday they would air Johns apology speech. On Monday night, John comes out to thunderous boos with his new heel persona claiming that he is the most talent wrestling seeing as no one is as pretty as him and more athletic than. A gimmick that has been before but could be brought to new light as he could bring out the red carpet for his entrance paying respect to his girlfriend Melina. His Trinitron, could show his picture in a Hollywood news article where the paparazzi always follow him and how is blessed with godlike wrestling abilities. Throw in some dark poetry and his new attitude can catch on. Naturally, the comparison to HBK would come in and Jomo would say that he is better than HBK. As he is talking to the fans he would play up the fact that he was wrong and he is going to leave the title in the ring for Zack Ryder to come and claim. The fans go nuts as he is really leaving and he goes to the back. Zack Ryders music plays and out comes John where his headband with a video camera acting like Ryder which brings him more boos. He claims he wont apologize and doesnt understand the Ryder appeal as Zack isnt champion material. He could bring up the fact that Zacks father was his biggest fan. Eventually, Ryder would come out to attack Jomo and security would be used to separate them while the crowd and the internet are eating it up. As the weeks go one building up to the next PPV their feud would continue with Jomo getting the win cleanly. The feud would continue towards the Royal Rumble with John gaining a body guard in Kevin Nash (sounds familiar?). HBK would make a return for one night but in that night John would slap him completely dissing him. Every match onward, Jomo would use the Super Kick (Sweet Chin Music) to win his match. At the Royal Rumble match with Ryder, there could be a referee bump where Nash would interfere and out comes HBK cleaning house and deliver sweet chin music to Jomo enabling Ryder to get the win and finally become champion.
The Monday after the Royal Rumble, John is livid and Nash is also. His rematch with Ryder never happens as John attack him during his entrance and Nash is involved also. They call out HBK as they known he is in the Arena. HBK comes and John claims that he wants to stop be compared to him and says that he wants to challenge him to a match at Wrestlemania. HBK declines saying that he isnt worth his time and that he is retired. Weeks after that, Jomo would continue to taught HBK using his music and wrestling attire. One week, Jomo would call out HBK and out comes HHH. The two of them would have a match at Elimination Chamber with Jomo winning with the help of Nash. 6 weeks left until Wrestlemania, HHH gets beaten up again and asks Shawn if they can reform DX one more time to end Jomo and Nash. HBK declines and they could do some vignettes of Jomo attack HBKs family to make it personal. DX reunites and the match is made at Wrestlemania, DX vs. Jomo and Nash in a street fight. The winner would have to be HHH and HBK for the big payoff unless WWE truly wanted to continue the feud with it culminating at Summerslam. Jomo would become a megastar by the end of it. Zack Ryder gets his shine as US champion on the mania card and Dolph could move on to better things (hopefully). I wish I could be a writer for the WWE but alas this whole major storyline is just a pipedream of mine. In the end, what do you think. Could something like this actually happen? Is John Morrison worth a push like this? Could this be good marketing wise for the WWE with Cena vs. Rock as the main attraction?
